Hard work really does pay off. Last weekend saw 37 of our riders make the trip to Manchester for rounds 1&2 of this years National series at the UK's Indoor BMX track and boy did they deliver. From the youngest riders; Jacob, Billie and Lennie in the 7 year old classes, right up to Arne making his Superclass debut, hardly a moment went by without some Andover action on track. The results speak for themselves; 19 of them made a final on day 1 and 18 made a Final on day 2.
So many individual achievements it's impossible to mention them all but the 17 podium places went to the following riders over the weekend
Betty Wills with 2 x๐ฅ
Sarah-Jane Nichols with 2 x๐ฅ
Annabel Townsend 2x๐ฅ
James Miller with 1x๐ฅand 1x๐ฅ
Esme Ward with 2x๐ฅ
Newton Hindley with 2x๐ฅ
Arthur Mason with 1x๐ฅ
Phuong Clements with 2x๐ฅ
Noa Kerr with 1x๐ฅ
Oscar Jewell with 1x๐ฅ
The result is that we are currently standing in 2nd place (out of 52 competing clubs nationally). An absolutely outstanding result. Well done to every single one of you, from the first timers to the veteran riders, this was a cracking start to the season. We go again in 3 weeks in Glasgow :-)
Thanks as always to the coaches Eric Esslemont Mark Ward Thomas Russell Odling and their helpers.

A nice little write up from Love Andover. We love hosting regionals at Andover but its always that bit nicer when the sun is shining, as it did on Sunday.
