We would like to not be the reason for the complaints, so for the 505 dinghy, we have several options for sheets to maintain comfort in the windy weather, but also offer lightweight options for those drifty days. We can’t promise that these super awesome products will help you get the shifts right or stop you capsizing if you drop the tiller, but we think they should help with the tacks, gybes and crew comfort!

It’s not very often that customers send a photo with multiple products in one shot,
But after last weeks post about halyard bags being a prominent product on our web shop, a bit thanks to Sam Bailey from South Staffs SC for a picture that includes two stick-on halyard bags and two padded toestraps!

This week we have been doing some mast refitting with all new sheave boxes from Allen brothers as well as a complete set of new running rigging, including:

🌊 Spinnaker pole uphauls in 2mm Dyneema for low windage.

💨 Dyneema main halyard with chafe cover at the top.

🐳 Our popular 8-plait spinnaker halyard for easy hoisting.

🐙 A Dyneema 2:1 jib halyard with high load block in the system.

This week’s product review, the simple standard halyard bag!

But what sets our apart? It could be the robust mesh for durability, or the 50mm wide Velcro that secures the flap, or the posh Weathermax binding around the edge to finish things off nicely, or how about the Velcro on the back so the bag can be removable if needs be?

Salcombe Merlin Rocket week wasn’t just sailing, we also had some apartment railing covers to fit for a customer. These were made to help shelter the areas and provide some privacy. We made these from a nice Blue acrylic so that they would brighten the area up too!
