The Club Halloween shoot went down well with members and great fun was had by all who turned up. There was plenty of food, which means we all went home stuffed as well.
Thank you to all who came along, feel free to browse the pictures that were taken by various members through the night (link takes you to our site).
Well done to Mike Riley, who eventually got the last target, but it got very competitive (and a bit silly) at the end!
Massive thanks to Kelly Battman for all the organisation and pulling the night off, seems we have found a great event organiser!

Barbecue: Enjoy delicious grilled food while you watch or wait your turn.

Cake Sale: Indulge your sweet tooth with a variety of homemade cakes. All proceeds from the barbecue and cake sale will go towards supporting our club and improving our facilities.

In an inspiring turn of events, Sira's casual visit to watch a competition at our club has blossomed into a remarkable journey of dedication and success in archery. During her visit, she had the opportunity to meet some junior members, and their enthusiasm was contagious. This motivated her to take up the sport and join the juniors' evening sessions every Tuesday. Since then, she has been a regular and beloved presence at the club, with everyone being incredibly friendly and encouraging.

Last Christmas, Sira received her very own bow as a present. With her newfound equipment, she eagerly entered her first competition on New Year's Day. The event was a turning point; not only did she have immense fun, but she also enjoyed meeting new people and returned home with a gold medal.

As the outdoor season began, Sira set herself a substantial goal, one that she has just achieved. She now holds both the Bristol V and Metric V club records, as well as the Hampshire county record for a Metric V. Her quiver is brimming with accolades, including a Rose Award, a Star Award, and a Grand Master Bowman Award.

Sira's achievements are a testament to her hard work and dedication. Her journey from a spectator to a record-holding competitor is truly inspirational. With a brilliant future ahead, she is eager to continue proving herself every step of the way, and we look forward to supporting her as she reaches even greater heights in the sport of archery.

Entries are now live for our WA Weekend being held on the 17th and 18th of August. Saturday will be a 720 with H2Hs and Sunday a Double 720.
