Amport Trout Fishery

A cloudy rainy day! Sadly we are still closed, low water, w**d and few fish. We will post on the website as soon as as we open again!

We had a stand a
in Stockbridge this weekend. It is a fantastic market and it was our 11 year.

Promoting the fishery, selling flies and this year selling earrings made out of flies! Something we will sell on line soon!

A fantastic day!

We are still closed till end of August..

We are closed due to the lake having a w**d cut.
What used to take 2 days of cutting by hand is now done in 2 hours! It will however take about 2 days to clear it all out! No wildlife was harmed and even Terry (the elusive terrapin) was spotted!

It’s not all about trout!

Our resident swans. Laid 7 eggs hatched 7 cygnets but now there are only 2 left.

Fishery is closed - until the cob is more relaxed. He is very possessive about the space at the moment.

A beautiful day for fishing and a beautiful brown trout caught. 4 1/2 lb!
We put some small ones in the lake around a year ago so this one has been lurking at the bottom growing nicely!

Pretty sky over the lake! Plenty of fish in it!

Lake is stocked and fishing well! Come on down and catch your dinner!

Four fab fish!! Caught today after quite a while of no ‘fisher people’. Came for two left with four!

The lake has recently had a w**d cut so looking very clear and tidy.

Cold and frosty. It’s been quiet which is most probably due to the cold weather. It’s set to warm up so come on down and do some flyfishing!

Very cold and wintery here. Been quiet lately so plenty space for fishing! Come on down if you can stand the cold. No snow yet….

These fish are hard to catch at the moment but plenty there and feeding!
