Congratulations to you our women and men’s doubles winners of the first stage of the ‘Play Your Way To Wimbledon’ competition, held at the club recently.

Claire Reid and Adrian Shapter (featured), and their respective partners, Ann Wilson and Al Williams, won their round robin league, to go through to the next stage of the national competition to be held in Southsea.

We wish both teams every success, as they compete for the chance of playing at Wimbledon this Summer.

Sat 7th March for Adults (19+) Doubles

Sat 16th May for Juniors, U18 Junior Doubles, U14 Junior Singles.

With a break in matches during the holidays, it’s time to catch up on a bumper crop of results, noticeably the convincing wins by our Ladies B and Sarum A teams, as well as the nail-bitingly close matches of our Mixed B, Ladies A and Sarum A teams.

Thanks for everyone in our squads who take part and represent the club during their evenings and weekends, and special thanks to our Team Captains, who work tirelessly to organise and run the teams during the year, we can’t thank you enough.

We recently hosted the 4th Margaret Winnett Tournament to remember our late Chairman. This parent and child event brought our community together for an afternoon of fun competitive tennis.

The Winners: Leon and Patrick took the title, narrowly beating Aleksander and Anastasia 4-3 in the final.

Best Dress: Savannah won the award for the best Christmas outfit.

Thank you to everyone who supported this event. We aim to provide a great environment for our members to play and socialise.

We look forward to hosting a similar family tournament in Summer 2026.
