There is substantial evidence that massage therapy increases relaxation, both physical and mental.
Research has demonstrated that a single massage therapy session consistently reduces heart rate, blood pressure and reported anxiety levels.
Whilst repeated massage therapy sessions have been found to be similarly as effective as psychotherapy at reversing depression and anxiety in human patients!
