After a huge win against top of the league last week, we go again this week against Cirencester Cricket Club as look to keep our promotion charge alive 🏏

Please note that whilst this is a ‘home’ game, due to the village fair we are playing at a neutral ground not the Ford!

Well, well, well… what a weekend that was! 🤯🏏

In case you missed it, last weekend was one for the history books at The Ford.

We kicked things off on Saturday with a record-breaking performance against Oaksey. The lads were in sensational form, posting a mammoth 358-3 from 40 overs to set not one, but two new club records.

A huge congratulations to Rhys, who brought up his maiden Saturday league century with a brilliant 104, while Nigel blasted an unbeaten 105* in a phenomenal innings. Outstanding batting from both! 👏

The bowlers then backed it up in style, producing a ruthless display to dismiss Oaksey for just 54. Sohan and Rhys both claimed three wickets as we wrapped up a comprehensive victory.

The result saw us break the club’s long-standing records for the highest league total and the largest winning margin. Congratulations to everyone involved in a truly memorable performance! 💪

And if you thought it couldn’t get any better…

Sunday saw our friendly side take on the Gloucester Seniors as part of our 125th Anniversary celebrations. It was a fantastic afternoon of cricket, played in glorious sunshine and enjoyed by everyone at The Ford.

It was also great to welcome our sponsors A40 Fitness, Cheltenham , Pulhams , and Stuart Gardner Financial Services. We hope you all enjoyed the day!

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who came down to support us over the weekend. Whether you were cheering from the boundary, buying raffle tickets, enjoying the BBQ, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, your support means everything to the club.

Tomorrow sees our Sunday side take on Gloucester Seniors in a friendly as part of our 125th Anniversary celebrations. With a scorcher of an afternoon forecast, it’s set to be a fantastic day of cricket! 🔥🏏

We’ll have a raffle running throughout the day, a BBQ from 3–6pm, and the bar will be open all afternoon, so come down to The Ford, enjoy the sunshine, and support the lads 🍻
