🏑 U14 Sevens Tournament – Bede’s School

First hockey of the new season and what a start! 💙💛

With a squad of 6 plus 8-year-old Rudy from South Saxons, Worthing won their first 4 games, scoring 10 goals without conceding against Crawley, South Saxons, Lewes and St Francis/Crowborough.

Two tough games against strong Hawks and Eastbourne sides followed, with tired legs showing. Both teams played excellent hockey, with Eastbourne going on to win the tournament.

👏 Worthing finished 3rd out of 7 teams!

🧤 Daniel was strong in goal, with Peter and Luke also having great tournaments.

We kick off our league games with our Men’s 5s, 6s & 7s taking to the pitch and getting the season underway. 💪🏑

Worthing hockey club facilitated and hosted an England Hockey coaching weekend with participants travelling as far as from Marlow, Milton Keynes Havant and Gillingham, in temperatures we are now having to get used to. The intensive course led to either lead coach or level 2 coaching qualifications. And from Worthing Hockey we had Robin Hallett and Hugh McGregor completing the relevant courses. The lead coach congratulated Worthing hockey club saying that she had never had a club so welcoming as ours, with iced refreshments and a ploughman's lunch supplied by the Club. 💙💛

Wow! 🎉 After the success of this years charity golf day in memory of Andie Chambers we've now raised a total of £29,290.51 for Chestnut Tree House & St Barnabas House! ❤️
We started our fundraising mission back in 2007 in memory of Megan Duncan to raise vital funds for Chestnut Tree House & have added a annual Andie’s Golf day to continue our fundraising efforts.
We couldn't have done it without our amazing members and the incredible support of our community. Thank you to everyone who has donated, attended our events, volunteered, and cheered us on along the way.
Every contribution has helped us reach this fantastic milestone.
Here's to continuing to make a difference together! 💙
