Anstruther Golf Club

Anstruther Golf Club Anstruther Golf Club was founded in 1890 and has seen many changes over the years.

The initial layout comprised 7 holes with trenches through the middle of the course and poles scattered over the greens to stop gliders landing during the war. In more peaceful times the course was extended to an excellent 9 holes which is kept in superb condition throughout the year. The course is located 9 miles south of St Andrews and stretches along the shoreline between Anstruther and Pittenweem. The spectacular views over Anstruther Harbour and out to the Isle of May, Bass rock and south west to Edinburgh are a constant distraction. Golfers should beware of Anstruther Golf Club’s version of Amen corner which comprises a series of 3 challenging par 3’s starting with The Rockies (5th) voted the toughest par 3 in the UK!

What a day!

Kiltwalk 2026 completed! It was a tough haul at points but all 4 of us crossed the finish line (even if one of us, me, needed a first aid visit afterwards 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣)

Thanks so much to Ian & Catherine, Lindsay, Ben & Heather and Rory for their support at the finish line today. It meant a lot.

All Summer we’ve been blown away by the support from everyone in our fundraising and today was the culmination of it all.

We are totally overwhelmed to say that we have now passed the £10,000 mark 😶

After the justgiving fees this means that Macmillan Cancer Support along with Maggie’s Fife and the Rotary in the East Neuk fundraiser for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland Rachel House will each get well over £3,000 each 👏🏻

If anyone would like to make a last minute donation then the link is below and it will remain open for until Tuesday night.

To each and everyone one of you who bought tablet, came to the Beetle Drive, bought squares for the numerous fourball vouchers, supported the Family BBQ, donated prizes and much much more…….THANK YOU! We couldn’t have done this without you.

Wee Wonders Grand Final 2026

Fresh from their adventures at The Belfry and the Faldo Futures finals, Erin and Jack made their way over to Gullane at the weekend for the Wee Wonders Grand Finals.

Both played in tough sections against some very good Juniors and looking at the final leaderboards there was some great golf on show in each section.

Jack finished 15th in the Boys 9-10yr section which was a step up for him in age group. He did really well against players who have been in the section for longer, with his Sunday round improving on his Saturday position.

Jack will now look ahead to the US Kids British Championship in October at Hensol in Wales.

In the Girls 9-10yr section, Erin had 2 really good days and played excellent golf. She finished in 3rd place just 8 shots behind the winner who shot a 3 under par over the 2 days. With her 3rd place finish she gets a place in next years Grand Finals.

Well done to both Jack & Erin, a big week completed with some fantastic memories made.

We are proud of you both 👏🏻

Due to a member of staff returning to University next week we have an opportunity to join the team.
