Amara took second place in the NIKW JUNIOR LEAGUE FINALE.🥈🥈🥈
Competing and earning points throughout the year against all clubs. Amara also came first🥇 in her group section on the night. The league took place in Girdwood Community Hub in Belfast. Amara is pictured in action and also with club instructor Sensei Gary Patterson and Chief Instructor Sensei James Brunton. Congratulations Amara and looking forward to seeing you in action at the North South Championships in January.

Antrim Karate Nikw junior squad reaping the benefits of taking part in the NIKW junior league and claiming 2 positions as well as outstanding competitor of the event. Freddy Gore winning second place medal in his first appearance at the ever more popular event and Khloe Busby winning 3rd place. Also Amara Shivas caught the eye of Coach Sensei James Brunton to earn the accolade of outstanding fighter of the night, showing great fighting spirit and passion for scoring with one fight netting her a 12-3 win with 4 Jodan head kick scores.
THE NIKW junior league promotes competition for those with little or no experience in kumite(competition fighting) and introduces children to kumite against competitors of the same level. The junior league has been going for a number of years now and has been proven to be instrumental to the development of childrens kumite.
