Colin of Caledonia Gundog Supplies quickly fulfilled my order of a new DNT Hound H325R thermal spotter. He displays these in his own home business space. Colin's no-nonsense approach and knowledge and based on years of practical hunting experience helped make the decision to spend my money easy. Not that i consider these things much but the boxing was rich, high-end and almost hermetically sealed, such was the quality of the packaging. Inside the contents were packed well. The Hound itself is a beautifully 'dense' feeling item, solid and reliable, easy in the hand with top placed operation buttons also easy to reach and apply with an unusually strong rubber lens protector. The Hound has a wide view angle, the long and short presses of various buttons on the menus brought up all required parameters and options easily. Looks great, feels great. I especially like how its not all BLACK but light brown 'camo' colour accents make it look much richer. Trying the Hound at night gave me clear pictures , good quick magnifications and of course ranging data. It works well and easily. I love it. (For tech spec read the data yourself). The charger is a much better quality double battery charger than on some other more expensive thermal items I've purchased though the generous two supplied batteries were fairly common green-coloured rechargeables. A protective pouch with carbineer, a usefully long lanyard and of course charging cables were supplied too. A wee cleaning cloth and two instruction booklets completed the tally. Looking forward to using this in the field very soon! Thanks to Colin for fast response.
