Lee Page, a coaching staff member for the Scottish National Olympic Weightlifting Team, who recently coached the team at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, along with Corey Paterson, a Youth & Junior Scottish Weightlifting Champion, are hosting two FREE ‘Have a Go’ Olympic Weightlifting sessions next month on behalf of Weightlifting Scotland, the sport’s governing body.

Olympic Weightlifting training is great for youth athletic development, as we incorporate:
• Movement & coordination
• Jumping (plyometrics)
• Strength
• Mobility
• Weightlifting technique

These are all transferable skills for other sports such as rugby, netball, basketball, football and athletics, as well as being great for building confidence.

The sessions will be held on 17th & 24th September, from 6:00–7:30 pm, at The Warehouse Gym, Arbroath.

With only 8 spaces available, availability is very limited.

If any club members aged between 13–30 are interested, please phone or message me on 07758784035 to book their place.

Yesterday, some of our 2018 players had a fantastic afternoon at the Forfar Community Trust Funday! ⚽️

The boys had a brilliant time playing football and were delighted to receive their medals. 🏅

A huge thank you to Forfar Community Trust for having us — we really enjoyed the afternoon! 👏⚽️

⚽️ AYFC 2009s ⚽️
With the start of the new 11s season last weekend, it’s disappointing that the 2009 age group hasn’t had a competitive league to play in this year, with not enough teams in the area wanting to form an U18s league.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Murray Macmillian, who has managed the team from Fun Fours right through to U17s.
It simply wouldn’t have been possible without the other coaches and helpers along the way, Coops, Kevin, Sharon and many others who have given their time and support over the years.

There have been players who stayed, moved on and came back, but they have always remained part of the team. Along the way, they’ve made lifelong football friends and memories, and it has been a privilege to watch these boys grow into the young men they are today.

They now face new challenges, from finishing school to starting work and moving into the next chapter of their lives. While their time together on the pitch may be coming to an end, the friendships and memories they’ve made will last much longer.

Wishing every player, coach, helper and family involved with Arbroath Youth Football Club 2009s all the very best for the future.

Thank you for the memories ⚽️ 💙

💜⚽ A huge thank you to John Heenan from Arbroath Roofing Company for his incredibly kind donation to our U12 Purple Girls! 🙌

John kindly donated brand-new training balls as well as a match-day ball for the team. We really appreciate your support and generosity—it means a lot to the girls and the club! 💜

Thank you, John! 👏⚽

👏 A massive well done to our 2014s & 2015s! 👏

After already completing 4 hours of football at Summer Camp today, the boys still found the energy to give something back and help keep the astro looking its best.

Together, they filled 4 bags of rubbish from in and around the Astro. 🗑️👏

Brilliant effort, boys. Your willingness to help out is exactly what being part of Arbroath Youth FC is all about.

Footballers on the pitch, community heroes off it!! ⚽
