Mother/daughter share wanted!
I have a client looking for her next horse. Fabulous knowledgeable home with the best people.
Looking for 14-15h who will be steady and quiet on a hack with one rider but also capable of jumping a wee course with another. Good budget for the right horse. Temperament is everything.
Let me know if you know of anyone looking for a perfect home please 🙏🏻

Wow! This is really detailed and current. I like it. Well done Scottish government. Now… how to get the people who need to read it, to actually read it 😊
New welfare guidance has been published for owners of equines. The guidance provides information on how to care for equines and ensure their welfare and emotional needs are met.
Emphasising the importance of equine welfare, the guidance has been developed in close partnership with the equine sector, and covers everything from diet and environment to horse passports and tethering.
The guidance replaces the previous Welfare of Equidae Code of Practice published in 2009, and recognises that animal welfare knowledge, management practices and science have moved on from previous management principles.
Modern approaches now include mental wellbeing, positive experiences, the need for social interaction and the ability to express natural behaviours as well as the equines physical health.

Agree with this sooooo much! It’s not body shaming, it’s about doing the maths with any horse. With race horses is bothers me even more as they are already likely to be carrying old injuries and have been started really young. Starting from that compromised position, they are going to struggle carrying more than 15%.
I’m saddle fitting near Stonehaven on Tuesday 25th August and have spaces if anyone else is looking for an appointment. Please share ☺️

I am terrible for remembering to take pics when I’m out and about fitting because I get in the zone so I love seeing Becca and her mare Bella because she takes pics without me asking. So note to clients… if you want to make it on to my page you’ll need to be proactive haha 🥰
