The countdown to New York is officially on! This September, players from around the world will take over courts across Brooklyn, Queens, and Central Park for the 2026 World Wallball Championships, one of the biggest events the sport has seen in years.
Open divisions, juniors, masters, singles, doubles, small ball, big ball, iconic courts, international matchups. This is the kind of tournament people talk about long after it’s over.
For some players, it’s the chance to compete on one of the sport’s biggest stages. For others, it’s an opportunity to experience the atmosphere, reconnect with the handball community, and be part of a huge moment for the game.
New York is going to be special, and we’re excited to see you there. Event updates, registration, and tournament information can be followed at r2sports.com.

Congratulations to Patrick Mackin and Liam Boyle. They competed in the Clann Eireann Open yesterday (Wallball). Patrick was runner up in the Boy's Under 13 B's with Liam runner up in the Men's C competition. Patrick and Liam have only started to play One Wall handball recently and their success is testimony to their application and practice. Well done lads and keep the good work 💪🏼 🔵

NEILLY DONAGHY
The Committee and members of Eugene Quinn GAA Handball Club are saddened to learn of the passing of Neilly Donaghy. We extend our condolences to his children Kevin, Ann, Mary, Brendan, Paul, Kieran, Maggie and his sisters Cora and Eileen and to all the family circle.
Neilly was a 'rock' within the Eugene Quinn handball family. Put simply, Neilly loved the game of handball and for 40 years served as Club Secretary. He played a key role in organising the massive fundraising drive which was instrumental in the Club securing its new home in the Ceannaras building. This legacy continues to provide handball opportunities for the young people of Armagh and for this and all his service the Club will be forever grateful.
Rest in Peace Neilly 🙏

Congratulations to Martin Murphy who won our Dingbats fundraiser. There were 9 entrants with one incorrect answer with question the main stumbling block. The correct answer being No 15 box junction and not crossroads. A total of £475 was raised with £100 deduction to the winner Martin pictured below with Club Secretary Martin Mc Lean. Thanks to all the parents and members who helped to sell the sheets. Thanks also to Juvenile member Conor Smith who took the photograph. 💪🏼 🔵
