At the weekend the Pikekickers were out in force once again, travelling to one of the largest triathlon events on the Irish triathlon circuit in Athy. This festival of events has been a hot favourite from our club in recent years.

The day was celebrated by lots of special milestones and personal bests from all out ladies and gents. We had first time triathletes Lily and Benny take on the sprint distance in style with both finishing very strong with big smiles. Marion, our female triathlete of 2025 stepped up the pain threshold and took on the olympic distance. Both Stevie and Konrad faced the T100 distance testing their endurance abilities and coming out stronger than ever, Stevie once again showcasing his strength over distance and great practice for Konrad ahead of his upcoming Ironman.

Back to the Olympic distance we seen fantastic performances from everyone with Una, Joan, Decky, Gareth and Natasha all recording personal bests and Lorraine catching another age group 3rd place . Dominic, Brian, John, Barney, Peter and Dan all done themselves proud with strong and safe performances. Too many achievements to mention.

And lastly, the Posh & Becks of the Pikekickers Lorraine and Benny not only got AG podiums and completed their first triathlons, they celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary..... a bigger achievement than anything else, well done guys you are both an inspiration.

We had the official launch for the 🍎 Tri The Orchard Triathlon 🍎

It was a fantastic opportunity to thank all of our sponsors for their continued support in helping us run this race. Without our sponsors, events like this simply would not be possible.

A huge thank you to Armagh Credit Union for their very generous sponsorship. Always helping out clubs and organisations in local communitie.

We would also like to thank Velo Yelo Ltd for their sponsorship and support. They always make travelling to races abroad so much easier β€” a service Pikekickers regularly use and highly recommend.

We hope everyone loves this year’s race tops and medals… everyone enjoys a good race pack 😍

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to Loughgall Country Park this June. Race Director Dominic Clarke and the race committee are working hard behind the scenes to make the event even better every year.
If anyone wants a great viewing point as a Marshall let us know πŸ˜‰

Delighted to get our first dip in the lake. It was a new experience for some of our New Members. But they took it in their stride and in the end took to it like a πŸ¦† to water. Bring on the open Water Season πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸŠβ€β™‚οΈπŸŠβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜Ž

Plenty of action by the Pikekickers lastweek end. Well done to Marion O Donnell and Emma McAlister who took on the Ring Of Cuilcagh getting the miles in the legs for a big summer 😎. Well done to our Park runners in Dungannon.
All the club to like to wish Barney Gordon and his brother the best in Jacksonville Ironman. One thing is for sure Barney has put in the work in Barneys way 🀣. Barney flew over last week said he was going to do a duathlon when he lands. We all say Barney just take it easy don't race it. Yeah yeah I won't says Barney. Barney goes and wins the duathlon πŸ€£πŸ™ˆπŸ†. What a man. You will smash it πŸ’ͺ.

Marathon Season is in full swing. Sean McSorley and Stephen Cross took on the glitz and glam London Marathon. A tough one to get into so the boys took it all in when they where there. Unfortunately they didnt get under 2hours which is just going to be the normal now 🀣. They did do amazing times and took the medals home with pride. New Dad Sean introduced young Leo to marathon life he suits the medal well 😍.
