The action continues in the G.B.S.L with a cracking match between A Team and Outlaws going to the deciding frame 5-4 to Outlaws to book their place in the 1st Cup final of the season, they will plat the Travellers who had a fantastic win over the Rocketmen by a score of 6-0! This was some result for Travellers and it should be competitive final.

GREEN BAIZE ENJOY A SUCCESSFUL ALL IRELAND SNOOKER CHAMPIONSHIP 2017

The Green Baize team had an enjoyable weekend in Killarney and gave a good account of themselves in the Championships, winning 3 group matches out of 4 and progressing to the knock-out stage, winning a play-off match and then very narrowly losing out in the final frame of the quarter finals.
This was a credible performance for the team playing for the first ever time in the competition and plans are now to return next year.
The Club would like to thank all those who supported the team including Gareth Keating, Lord Mayor of Armagh.

Was a great final in the Energy Tech Cup between Outlaws and B Team the B Team going ahead 3-1 with P. Sweeney beating S. Taylor 2 nil and C. Gillespie and S. McQuillan 1-1. Outlaws came back with E. McCaughey beating P. Campbell and D. Hawthorne drawing 1-1 with R. Robinson to make it 4-4 and force a decider. The 2 players drawn out were P. Sweeney and E. McCaughey and the Outlaws had one hand on the cup with McCaughey well ahead with 2 reds left but the talented Sweeney produced a 34 to win the Cup on the final black ball in a very good final. Well done to both teams. The League now takes a break for Christmas but will be back in Jan.

Latest results in G.B.S.L Entertainers bt A Team drew 5-3 and this result puts Entertainers top of table, the Outlaws also drew 4-4 with A Team to stay well in contention. In the Allen Black cup P.Campbell booked his place in the semi finals v C.Maye with an empathic 5nil win over T.McConnell, C.Maye had earlier came through a tough 5-3 win over L.Emerson who had a good win over R.Hughes in the previous round. D.Hawthorne and L.Hannigan had a good match which was closer than the 4-1 scoreline may suggest but the highlight of the match had to be David hitting a fantastic 126c in the 3rd frame. The tournament will be finished nxt week.

Last night Wed 19th was another competitive nights action in the G.B.S.L with the contenders living up to their name a sweeping to a 7-1 win over the B Team who's poor start to the season continues, missing some of their better players again. Contenders now go to the top of the table on the back of this result well done to them. Entertainers played a great match to hand Outlaws a rare lge defeat winning 5-3 overall, this was a very good performance by Entertainers as Outlaws S.Taylor and D.Hawthorne show signs of coming into form after a slow start to the season, Stephen hitting a brilliant 82c in the 2nd frame against P.McCormick and David a 78 against R.Hughes. Mon nights result was A Team 7 Travellers 1 and this puts 5teams in the mix for the league at this early stage, there is now a break in the league as attention switches nxt week to the 1st Cup final of the season between Outlaws and Grinders. This is nxt Wed night the 26th, also at the conclusion of the final we will be making the draw for the 2016 Allen Black Memorial Cup. Anyone interested in playing plz contact the club. Updated lge table @ 20th October 1. Contenders PL4 PTS 20. 2. Outlaws PL3 PTS 17. 3. Entertainers PL3 PTS 15. 4. A Team PL3 PTS 15. 5. Grinders PL3 PTS 13. 6. Travellers PL4 PTS 8. 7.
