South Kent Bike nights

Well Tuesday is fast approaching and whilst the scorching heat has diminished for a few days the forecast for bike night is dry and warm.
So don’t put your toys away just yet, time for another top Tuesday gathering at The doghouse micro pub, Evegate business centre, just off the A20 near Ashford.
Cheap drinks, good food and a super friendly atmosphere.
Ps don’t forget most weekends we have a breakfast ride out to a different cafe and these are getting really well supported.
Always a steady affair so suitable for 125s, classics and everything else in between.

Another great night at The Doghouse Micropub Tuesday bike night.
This weeks winner was this lovely AJS.
Made better as he had no idea bike of the night was a thing and he can’t wait to come back next week to spend his £10 food voucher and pick his choice of bike of the night.
I may be biased but this event is so varied, friendly with a great mix of people I think it’s the best .

Bike of the night was this lovely Buell in first image.
As always it was selected by last week’s winner and the owner Grayham Nash wins a £10 voucher for food at next Tuesdays meet and gets to pick his favourite next week.
Another great turn out and more were arriving as I left so I suspect it’s the best so far on attendance numbers.
Thanks to all who take the time to enjoy this friendly evening.
One slight issue tonight was a dog tearing around the seating area and causing some near misses with kitchen staff bringing food out.
Dogs are of course welcome but please ensure they are kept on a lead to prevent a disaster and not everyone is comfortable around dogs.
Also don’t forget to support the weekend ride outs always a steady classic and L plate friendly affair.
This weekend it’s a Sunday ride to the Butchers hook cafe.
Meet up is 1000 on A28 Lay-by on great chart by pass where the burger van is on the left as you ride away from Ashford.

Well it’s Tuesday, the weather is once again amazing, so the best thing to do is chill out with like minded people/friends at The doghouse micro pub, weekly Tuesday bike night from 6 pm onwards.
Located at the Evegate business centre off the A20 near ashford it’s easy to find.
Cheap drinks, good food, tons of hard standing parking.
Generally we get around 80-100 bikes so it’s big enough to be vibrant but small enough to be a very friendly venue for old/young/ Learners and experienced bikers alike.

Do any traditional bike breakers exist in Kent these days? You know the sort you get to see the parts in a store room sort of place.
Or does anyone have any parts knocking about in the corner of their sheds they could sell me?
I’m doing a slightly custom build of an 48 year Honda CG125 into a gentle green lane winter fun bike.
As such I need a genuine seat and air box plus some universal bits like some off road style mudguards and many more odd bits.
I’m not making it factory fresh just a bit of fun as cheap as possible.

He as always wins £10 food voucher for next week and gets to choose next weeks bike of the night.
Again thanks to all who go the extra mile to make this a super friendly night where everyone on any bike is made equally welcome and everyone talks to everybody else.
It’s not always the case at bike nights, but this Tuesday night at the Doghouse micropub, Evegate business centre near ashford is certainly becoming a most sociable evening and nice to see wives, girlfriends, partners, brothers, sisters and in one case half the family all enjoying the warm evening air, cheap drinks and food.
It makes me want summer to never end!

Needless to say they are relaxed affairs that are 125 and classic friendly that always involve a breakfast or brunch at different cafes in the area. Some stay just for that, other make a day of it and some join enroute.
It’s just another example of how this night is connecting all sorts of people on two wheels in a thoroughly enjoyable way.
