A few things I think we can happily leave behind 👋

Being scared of carbs.
Worrying that lifting weights will make you bulky.
Feeling guilty for enjoying food.
And putting yourself at the bottom of the list.

You don’t need to do everything perfectly to look after yourself.

Eat the carbs. Lift the weights. Enjoy the tiramisu. Take the rest day. And make some time for YOU 💗

If you’re a mum who wants to get stronger, feel more confident and find an approach that actually fits around your life, drop me a message and let’s chat 🌸

Although I’m a little late to the trend, I couldn’t resist

If you train with me, just know I AM listening… I’m fully invested in your story.

But there is also a very real chance we’ve done 12 reps instead of 10 because I’ve completely lost count 😂

Mums, if you’re looking for somewhere you can get stronger, build your confidence and have a good chat along the way, come and train with me.

Drop me a message and let’s chat!

Anyone else grow up thinking two bowls of Special K and a workout DVD were the answer? 😂🙋‍♀️

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with cardio (it’s incredibly important for our health!) or enjoying a workout DVD.

But so much of the messaging we grew up with was about burning fat, dropping inches and making our bodies smaller.

These days, I’d much rather focus on what our bodies can do. 💪🌸

Move for your heart.
Lift to get stronger.
Eat to fuel yourself.
And find movement you actually enjoy.

Hopefully we can help the next generation grow up with a slightly different message. 💗

I actually qualified as a Personal Trainer back in 2018.

At the time I thought it might lead to a change of career, but life had other plans. Things changed at Cisco, I found myself really enjoying my job again, and I also lost my mum.

So I stayed in the corporate world, and fitness remained something I loved rather than something I did for a living.

Then in December 2024, after 23 years, I was made redundant.

It was scary, but it also gave me the chance to really think about what I wanted to do next.

I knew I wanted to do something where I could make a difference.

And that PT qualification I’d done all those years ago suddenly felt like something I wanted to come back to.

So I went for it. 💗

And the more I’ve learnt since, the more passionate I’ve become about helping mums cut through all the noise around fitness and nutrition.

Because we’re constantly being told to eat less, cut things out, exercise more, lose weight, buy this supplement, avoid that food…

It really doesn’t need to be that complicated.

I want to help mums get stronger, feel healthier, understand what actually matters (and what not to believe!) and make some time for themselves too.

And that’s really why Bloom exists. 🌸

The path here wasn’t particularly straightforward, but I’m very glad it led me here.

If you’re a mum trying to cut through all the noise and just want to feel stronger, healthier and more like yourself again - you’re in the right place. 💗

And if you’d like some help getting there, send me a message. I’d love to chat.

Katie 🌸

Not everyone needs the same level of support… and that’s exactly why I offer different ways to work with me.

Whether you want to simply turn up and train, train with a friend, have ongoing nutrition and accountability, or prefer online coaching, there’s an option to suit you.

My goal is always the same: to help busy mums feel stronger, more confident and make time for themselves again.

I’m currently welcoming a few new mums into Bloom. If you’ve been waiting for a sign to put yourself first, this is it. Send me “COACH” and let’s chat. Katie 🌸

🐟 Fish are a great source of omega-3… but they’re not where it all starts!

A little nutrition fact about where EPA & DHA actually come from 🌿

Did you know this one? 👇

Keto might cut carbs… but it often cuts out some of the best sources of fibre too. 🌾🍎🫘

Fibre isn’t just about ‘keeping you regular’

✔️ Supports your gut microbiome
✔️ Helps lower cholesterol
✔️ Keeps you fuller for longer

Instead of cutting out whole food groups, I’d rather help you build a diet that’s balanced, sustainable and full of foods your body actually benefits from.

Comment ‘FIBRE’ if you’re not sure where to start.

As a PT, I don’t just recommend training and good nutrition. I also recommend giving yourself time to properly switch off in the evenings.

Reducing screen time before bed can support better sleep, recovery and energy levels, all things that help you feel and perform at your best.

So, it’s time I practised what I preach. I’ve noticed my evening scrolling creeping back in, so I’m giving this a go.

I’m excited to get started with ,
I’ll report back in a couple of weeks!
