Ashford School Community Learn to Swim

The Summer Term is done !. Best wishes to James as he heads off to a new job in the west country..

This term we have taught over 1200 hours of lessons, for over a thousand children and adults, trained Lifeguards through our RLSS programme, run crash courses during our term time sessions, and been shortlisted for the Times Educational Supplement Community Engagement Project of the year. We have also taught 900 primary school children valuable water safety skills progressing to KS2.

We couldn't do this without our fantastic team of Instructors, our Leads, the support of Ashford School including our operations team and our admin staff.

For now, most of our team take a well deserved summer break, with the exception of those working on our crash courses and re enrolment for September term. Please watch this space for availability for Stages and training courses.

The statistics from this weekend are heart breaking and sobering, with so many children and adults losing their lives after getting into difficulty in water.
A sad reminder to stay vigilant around any water source, be it pond, paddling pool, swimming pool or seaside.
