🏉☀️ Another Wednesday, Another Cracking Night of Walking Rugby!

Despite a few of our regulars still enjoying their holidays, we had another great turnout at The Rec last night for an excellent session of Walking Rugby.

Plenty of good rugby, friendly competition and the usual laughs made for another thoroughly enjoyable evening. The numbers we've been getting week after week show just how much this group has grown, and there's always room for a few more! 🙌

Whether you've played rugby before or have never picked up a ball, Walking Rugby is an easy and enjoyable way to keep active, meet new people and still enjoy that competitive edge.

🍽️ WE’RE HIRING – CLUB CATERER 🍽️

Ashington Rugby Football Club is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Club Caterer to join our team.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys cooking and wants the opportunity to take ownership of our catering offering and help develop it as the Club continues to grow.

📍 Ashington Rugby Football Club

💷 £13.50 per hour

⏰ Approximately 12 hours per week

🏉 Predominantly weekends and rugby fixtures
The role will involve providing food for players, officials, members, visiting teams and guests, as well as supporting other clubhouse events.

We have a recently refurbished kitchen with excellent equipment and facilities, and there is plenty of scope for the successful person to develop the role, increase hours and introduce their own ideas as our events and functions grow.

🏉 Wednesday Night = Walking Rugby! 💙💛
Another enjoyable session at The Rec last night, with a good turnout despite a number of our regulars being away on holiday or tied up with other commitments.

Those who did make it were treated to another fun and competitive game, with plenty of good rugby, questionable interpretations of the word “walking” 👀😂 and the usual laughs along the way!

It's been brilliant to see how the Walking Rugby group has grown over the summer, and there's always room for more. Whether you've played rugby all your life or have never picked up a rugby ball before, you're more than welcome to come along and join in.
