MY HYROX RACES 🏁
It’s been a journey, and I’ve loved every single second. I’ve been so locked into my training to improve myself for well over a year now and it’s paying off. I really want to see where I can push too, all with the guidance of my coach. She sets, I trust & do and it works. That’s why you have a coach, they push you beyond what you would push yourself and in the right way, without over training, managing things which crop up and working as a team. 🫶🏼
No journey is plain sailing, there will always be bumps and minor set backs alongside the major wins. What will always be a consistent for me - never giving up. I’ve set myself a goal of a sub 70 open and I won’t stop until I get it - locked in.
Our first ever HYROX race, when it was easy to buy a ticket and a much quieter venue - it’s crazy and unbelievable to see where it is today.
It was 75 wall balls for women still at this point too.
We went in so oblivious, having done just a few little practise sessions and a few months of running, and I LOVED every second of it.
These trainers however, ripppppped my feet to bits which was joyful 🙃🙂🙃🙂
My first solooo
Straight after our doubles in Manchester I wanted to try a solo. It was again still 75 wall balls for women.
I really enjoyed the challenge and quickly learnt it was a completely different race to a doubles!
My second doubles & first with Chels my insane friend and client at the time.
Absolutely loved training her for this and racing with her, it was a special one 💕
Mine & Megs second race together a year on from our first.
1 min 22 second PB, we went in with the goal of sub 70 and we just scraped it.
I felt so much stronger, but also had a few hormonal issues ongoing. So after this race I stepped away from HYROX training for a few months to get myself sorted and aimed to come back in the new season.
My next solo (Wall Balls now being 100) and first back since the start of the year.
I was SO excited for this race, I’d sorted my hormones, really put in a solid training block, the data was insane, I was SO excited and the week before I was struck with a stomach bug… Which
