🦁🥊 Silky Mittz Skillz Tuesday Night Fun! 🥊🦁

Last night was AWESOME at Silky Mittz! 😃

I've been going for about 2 months now and it's become one of my favourite sessions every week. It was so much fun working with the older players and with Brian, who always pushes me to work harder and improve my game.

The drills were fast, challenging, and really made me think about what I was doing on the rink. Every week I learn something new that helps me become a better hockey player, and I can already feel my confidence growing. 💪🏒

The best part is training with players who are older and more experienced because it pushes me to skate harder, make quicker decisions, and take my skills to the next level.

If you're looking to improve, challenge yourself, and have loads of fun while doing it, you should definitely come and give Silky Mittz a try. Trust me, you'll love it as much as I do! 🔥

🏒🦁 Last night I got to help out at Lions Cubs Foundations training and it was really fun!

I helped some of the younger Cubs learn more about hockey and seeing them improve during the session was awesome. They all worked really hard and listened really well. 💪

I also got the chance to take some shots on Bradley, one of our U8s/U10s goalies, to help him work on his positioning, tracking the puck and making those big glove saves. 🥅🧤

Bradley was amazing last night and made some brilliant saves. You could really see how much he has improved and he was tracking the puck really well. Some of the glove saves he made were unbelievable! 👏

I love helping the younger players and it's great seeing everyone get better and have fun playing hockey.

🦁🏒💙🤍 One of my favourite things about hockey now is helping our newest Lion Cubs start their journey. 🤍💙🏒🦁

Even though I'm only 9, it feels like I've spent my whole life at a hockey rink!

I still remember my first time on the big rink at an event Coach Rene Bernardo organised in Market Drayton, which is now where our Lions IHC Junior League takes place. I was excited, a little bit nervous and couldn't wait to get out there and play.

Now I get to help some of our newest Cubs learn the game that I love. It's really cool seeing players who were nervous on their first session become more confident every week, learn new skills and score their first goals.

This Sunday is going to be extra special because lots of our Cubs will be playing in their first ever Under 8s league games. I can't wait to be on the bench supporting them, cheering them on and helping them enjoy their first taste of league hockey.

Good luck Cubs! Work hard, have fun and make lots of memories. We are all proud of how far you've come already! 💙🤍🏒

🏒🔥 Had an awesome time at Desert Rats training this morning!

Another 4 hours of rink time done ✅ We played loads of fun games, worked on some great drills, and got plenty of skating and puck time in.

It was brilliant catching up with some of my Lion Cubs and Lion Jnr teammates, plus a few friends I've played with in Germany 🇩🇪 and the USA 🇺🇸 too!

A massive thank you to Rene and all the coaches for putting on such a great session. Can't wait for the next one! 😃🏒

My Birthday Present is Finally Up! 🏒🥅

Guess what! 😃 My birthday present got put up today by my mummy and daddy, and I was so excited that I just had to get outside and have some shots before it went dark!

As soon as it was ready, I grabbed my stick and puck and started practising. I had loads of fun working on my shooting and trying to pick my corners. I can't wait to use it even more and keep improving my hockey skills.

It's perfect timing too because I've got Desert-Rats Hockey training tomorrow, so hopefully all those extra shots will help me score a few goals! 🏒🔥

A massive thank you to my mummy and daddy for such an awesome birthday present. I absolutely love it!

Now I just need tomorrow to hurry up and get here! 😆🥅🏒

🏒 End of an Era... Time for the Next Challenge! 🏒

This season is a bit of a strange one for me because after 4 years, I'm finally too old to play in the Under 8s age group.

When I first stepped onto a rink, I could barely skate properly, but over the last few years I've learned so much. I've made loads of friends, scored some goals, won some games, lost some games, and most importantly found something that I absolutely love doing.

Along the way I decided to give ice hockey a try too. I really enjoyed the 18 months I played on the ice and learned loads from it, but if I'm honest, it never quite felt like where I belonged. Inline hockey has always felt like home to me.

I've been lucky enough to have some amazing opportunities already. I've had the chance to play with the Desert-Rats Hockey in the USA, the Mooseheads in Germany, and take part in lots of tournaments and competitions around the UK, both with teams and as an individual player. Every experience has taught me something new.

I've also been playing up age groups for a while now, spending the last 3 years in Under 10s and the last 2 years playing Under 12s hockey. Now the next step is here... Under 14s! 😳

I know this season is going to be really hard, but that's what I'm excited about. My happy place is being on a rink, learning new things and trying to get better. I'll be doing my normal Lions IHC Cubs and Lion Jnr sessions, extra training with Silky Mittz Skillz every week, plus more Desert Rats training too.

This isn't about being better than anyone else. It's not about goals, points or trophies. It's about being a little bit better than I was yesterday, working hard, learning from mistakes, and enjoying every minute on the rink.

I can't wait to see what challenges this season brings, what lessons I learn, and how much I can improve.

What a way to finish off four days of hockey in a row with Silky Mittz Skillz! This was my fourth session with Brian, and every week I learn something new from him and all the players who take part.

I was definitely feeling tired after a full weekend of hockey, but I gave 100% in every drill. The older players kept encouraging me, helped push me along, and made me feel like a real part of the group.

🏒💙 The End of an Amazing Under 8s Journey! 💙🏒

Today has been a really emotional day for me because it was my final game day in the Under 8s league.

What a season it's been! Finishing 3rd in the Under 8s league, playing across the Under 8s, Under 10s and Under 12s age groups, and scoring 84 goals this season. I smashed my personal best and achieved more than I ever thought possible!

But it hasn't just been about league hockey. This season I've been lucky enough to travel to Germany, where we finished 2nd in the PAMA Cup then all the way to the USA, where we won Gold at the NARCh Players Finals. They are memories I'll never forget and experiences that have helped make this my best hockey season ever.

As proud as I am of what I've achieved this year, I don't want it to stop here. I'm already getting ready for the 2026/27 season, where I'll be representing the Lion Cubs in the Under 10s, Under 12s and Under 14s leagues. I've set myself new goals to beat my current goals and assist records in the Under 10s and Under 12s, and I can't wait to test myself against the challenge of Under 14s hockey too.

I know next season will bring new challenges, highs and lows, but that's all part of the game and I can't wait to get started.

A massive thank you to Rene Bernardo for selecting me as an Under 10s GOAT of the Season. That means a lot to me.

I also want to give a special shoutout to our netminder Saoirse, who travelled all the way from Scotland to play with us today. She was amazing between the pipes and helped us finish the season in style. I first met her at a Mayhem Hockey Training session a few weeks ago and I'm looking forward to seeing her at the rink again soon.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has supported me this season, my coaches, teammates, parents, family, friends and everyone who has cheered me on. None of this would have been possible without you.

This season is one I'll never forget. ❤️

🏒😁 My First Silky Mittz Skillz Tuesday Session! 😁🏒

Tonight was my first ever Silky Mittz session and I had so much fun! It was really cool getting to skate and train with players from different clubs. We all worked together, learned new things, and got to practise our own skills too.

Coach Brian was really welcoming and made me feel comfortable straight away. Everyone was friendly and helped make it such a fun session. I learned loads and can't wait to keep improving!

If you're looking for an extra hockey session during the week, I would definitely recommend giving Silky Mittz a try. It's great fun and a brilliant way to work on your game.

The best part is I get to be back on the rink with Coach Brian again this Sunday at Lions IHC Jnr training! 🦁🏒 I can't wait for that and next week's session already.

A big thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome. I'm really looking forward to improving even more as I move into Under 10s as my main age group next season!
