Cherhill Just in Time- 2nd open youngstock (highest placed yearling)

Very pleased with all three girls, especially Dark Iris who spent most of the morning being cuddled by little Emma (Megan Dyer) proving that shes going to be a great child’s pony in the future.

Meanwhile in the racing Oldeworlde Daniel & Betsy absolutely flew around the main ring winning the morning racing 💙🤍 Carmilo Temptation & Pip schooled round nicely in the morning and then ran a cracking race in the afternoon just getting beaten by a nose on the finish line 🤍❤️💙

Fantastic day at one of my favourite shows of the year. Thank you to everyone who helped out with our little crew 🩷

Two venues and two brilliant combinations 💙❤️🤍

Carmilo Temptation & Pip headed to Moreton where they had a win ❤️🤍💙 Moreton has always been a lucky show for us and this year was certainly no exception! Very pleased with this young combination absolutely flying. Certainly one to watch for the future 😊

Oldeworlde Daniel & Betsy are currently at Burghley Horse Trials. Yesterday’s they had a good spin in their heat earning themselves a place in the final. I’ve been told they performed beautifully- yet to hear how today’s race went 💙🤍 Betsy (& Jess) you have worked wonders with Dan the Man 🥹

Dunster Show 2026

Abbotsbury Dyva & her filly foal Cherhill Dark Iris both brining home a win with Iris then standing reserve junior Shetland champion, Dyva reserve Standard Shetland champion. The duo finished off the day by standing overall reserve champion Mare & Foal.

In the racing Carmilo Temptation (Florence) took top honours with a win 🥇 which was fantastic to watch! ❤️🤍💙
Oldeworlde Daniel put in some good performances and was an absolute delight all day 💙🤍

Melplash Show 2026

No racing ponies with us today and no notable results in the show ring but both youngsters we took gained some great experience. Cherhill Dawn Lily continued her usual show day rituals of snoozing in her pen after her class 🧡🤦🏻‍♀️

All but one of the ponies are out on their next bit of summer grazing. Maximus hasn’t moved yet as I’m enjoying having him outside my office window a little bit too much 🤣
Meanwhile Dan the Man and Queen Florence have been very busy at Royal Welsh bringing home some brilliant results including a magical win for Dan & Betsy yesterday and a strong 2nd for Florence & Pip in a hotly contested race on Tuesday. Can’t wait to watch back over all of the footage and see some photos of both ponies in action! 💙❤️🤍 very proud of all the ponies

💙Oldeworlde Daniel & Betsy Snell💙

Dan and Betsy had a go at something different to racing and had a great day! Dan has done a bit of showing both in hand and on the lead rein but has never had a go at proper working hunter classes. The pair jumped in at the deep end and had a go at a HOYS working hunter qualifier at Three Counties Show. They managed a great round with just a few faults for knocking a pole. Immensely proud of this young pony who just gives everything a go! His little pilot is also to be hugely credited for all her hard work 💙🤍

Great read about the Mousa Stud.
Mousa Ash is by our Stallion Brynley Columbus and out of our former mare Muness Swift. Delight to see Swift back on the island with a healthy foal! Well done to Brendon and everyone involved 🎉

Mousa’s pony population has flourished after they were returned to the island last year - and now the newest arrivals have been given names.

Absolutely over the moon to have both racing ponies at our local county show, The Royal Bath & West. Carmilo Temptation & Pip had their multi day show debut and smashed it with great placings in their heats & finals. Oldeworlde Daniel & Betsy managed to hit the lead on Friday morning for a nice win, followed by 3 more lovely rounds on Friday afternoon & Saturday. Both these ponies are a real credit to their riders who work very hard behind the scenes to keep them performing so well.

Huge well done to all the team on three great days of racing.

Bath & West Show

Lovely sunny day out at the bath and west with both showing and racing ponies.
A mixed bag of results for the showing ponies but really pleased with them- especially the yearlings, it was an absolute delight to be showing homebreds at our local county show. Louis (Brynley Columbus) also had a nice day out!

Racing ponies are on good form so far especially Carmilo Temptation who is looking after her tiny jockey beautifully. Looking forward to the next two days of racing.

A really encouraging start to their showing careers having only been out a handful of times as foals at foot.
Lily did have to continue her usual habit of a midday nap after her class- some things never change!
Think the haze in the photos gives you an idea of how hot it was 🥵 thank god for my gazebo!
