Oving Tennis Club

Congratulations to our men's team for coming 3rd in the Aylesbury and District League Winter Season Division 6. The club was represented by: David Bartlett, Tom Doncaster, Matt Goss, Richard Keightley, Michal Miklasz, Simon Miles, and Ivor Wheeldon.

Oving is a community club with a great mix of social and competitive tennis and we would welcome anyone from Oving and the surrounding villages to join us. As a member you can book a court online anytime, join in with our coaching sessions (adult and junior) or turn up at one of our social play sessions (Weds evening and Sunday morning). Message for more information about membership. We'd love to see you on the court.

Due to popular demand we have a few spaces left on our two 'taster' coaching sessions this Monday 20th and next Monday 27th. These are free to new members or £8.50 per session to non members and designed for beginners/ returners to tennis. Please PM me if you are interested in taking part.

Are you interested in learning to play tennis? Or perhaps you played in the past and are a little rusty? We have 2 spaces available on our 10 week beginners/returners tennis coaching course on a Monday evening from 6.30 - 7.30pm. Starting Monday 20th April. Message for more details.

A bright and sunny weekend for some social and competitive tennis. On Saturday our ladies lost by the narrowest of margins to Thame - with lots of the matches going to tie-break. This morning we had a great turn out for Club tennis (10.30 - 12) and then the men's team drew 4-4 with local rivals Quainton. Great tennis club weekend. Friday night we had our quiz supper which was brilliantly attended and excellent fun. On Saturday our ladies team wrapped up warm for a winter league match. Not the result we wanted but some good competitive tennis none the less. And Sunday social tennis made the most of the sunshine. Tennis friendly days are few and far between at the moment but on Tuesday we had sunshine and the 'Rusty Rackets' were out on the courts enjoying a friendly game. The session from 2 -3 .30pm is open to anyone who is coming back into tennis after a while or generally likes to play with a bunch of likeminded players. Just turn up and join in.
