2 more cars from the Silverstone classic already looking forward to next year

Such an amazing day at the Silverstone classic sorry for having no posts things have been crazy lately but definitely more posts to come and time to get on with my own restoration after the motivation this weekend

Some photos from the car show this weekend plenty to post and some cool cars there still looking forward to hopefully seeing some of them at the silverstone classic

So time for an update on the engine and my 998 mini Mayfair has been modified in the past to a 1275gt normally good news but as I want this to be back to an original engine gonna have to source a 998 😂😂

So time to tackle the engine this is how it started will post a pic tomorrow of some of the progress

So with the welding on the mini going well decided to have a break and remove the rear subframe to get to the sections underneath whilst it’s out decided to paint it hopefully will look good in blue under the car

An old Triumph Herald love the fact this hasn’t been fully restored and is still driving on the roads maybe one day might be able to buy it if anyone knows the owner 😉😁

I know it’s not a classic but check out the size of the new RSQ8 callipers my hand is there for reference

No better way to spend an evening the running new wires on an E30, the reverse light switch had rubbed through against the body and was blowing the fuse for the dash and other interior items if anyone ever has the same issue

Sorry for no posts yesterday but huge amounts of progress on the floor pan finished the welding and have now used seam weld to make sure there no way water can get in and grinder down the welds and painted the bottom in stone chip to give it the finish I was looking for

Whilst I’m waiting for the panels to arrive though I would get back to the engine bay gave everything a sand back down and a quick paint eventually this colour will match the roof
