So time for an update on the engine and my 998 mini Mayfair has been modified in the past to a 1275gt normally good news but as I want this to be back to an original engine gonna have to source a 998 πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

So with the welding on the mini going well decided to have a break and remove the rear subframe to get to the sections underneath whilst it’s out decided to paint it hopefully will look good in blue under the car

No better way to spend an evening the running new wires on an E30, the reverse light switch had rubbed through against the body and was blowing the fuse for the dash and other interior items if anyone ever has the same issue

Sorry for no posts yesterday but huge amounts of progress on the floor pan finished the welding and have now used seam weld to make sure there no way water can get in and grinder down the welds and painted the bottom in stone chip to give it the finish I was looking for

Whilst I’m waiting for the panels to arrive though I would get back to the engine bay gave everything a sand back down and a quick paint eventually this colour will match the roof
