A great run from Ivinghoe Beacon this morning, with plenty of climbing, but it was worth it for the stunning views.

Wednesday’s XC will be a little bit special as we return to the Beacon to witness a rare eclipse, with around 90% coverage expected! 🌘🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

There was a strong Bearbrook turnout at the Waddesdon Manor 5K yesterday evening, with 14 members taking on the annual climb to the manor house. Fortunately, what goes up must come down, and everyone made the most of the fast downhill second half to the finish to record some excellent times.

A huge thank you to Vale of Aylesbury Athletic Club for once again putting on a fantastic event.

There's more to Bearbrook Running & Triathlon Club than just training runs.

Alongside our 4 or 5 weekly club runs, our members enjoy social events, team competitions, club championships and unique member-only races that bring everyone together.

Last weekend was one of our favourites, the annual Jo Hercules 11K Trail Handicap Race. Every runner starts at a different time based on their ability, with the fastest leaving last, meaning everyone has a realistic chance of winning.

It was a brilliant morning of friendly competition, encouragement and club spirit.

The Race Where the Fastest Runner Starts Last What happens when the fastest runners start last and everyone else ...

A couple of photos from this week's trail adventures in the sunshine with great company and plenty of smiles along the way. That's what summer running is all about!

The temperatures have certainly made this week's runs a little more challenging! ☀️🥵

Whether it was an easy run, intervals or just getting the miles done, everyone who headed out deserves plenty of credit. Running in the heat isn't about chasing PBs, it's about running smart, staying hydrated and listening to your body.

Well done to everyone who got out there this week. Here's hoping for a few cooler miles soon! 🏃‍♂️💙
