Poppy’s first NDP Final representing Team South ❤️💙

One of the youngest gymnasts in the competition, Poppy stepped in to help the team on 4 out of the 5 pieces and gained some valuable experience at this level 👏

Competing against 55 gymnasts, her highest placings were:
✨ 21st on Beam
✨ 24th on Bars

Team South finished 8th overall. A good learning experience and plenty to build on going forward 🌟

EXCEL 2 National Finals 2026

An incredible day yesterday for Lynx with three gymnasts representing the club against the very best in the country.

✨ Lucy Roberts-Day, who is officially the Excel 2 AA BRITISH CHAMPION 🇬🇧🏆🥇 with an amazing score of 63.6 and came 3rd on vault & 1st on Beam & R&C

✨ Sienna finished an incredible 4th overall with 61.2 and came 2nd on floor.

✨Evie scored 60.65 to finish a very respectable 10th overall and 3rd on bars

To the gymnastics community around the world 🌍🤍

Lynx Gymnastics Club has always believed gymnastics is more than sport — it is family, community, opportunity, and home. For 40 years, we have supported everyone from grassroots and SEND gymnastics to Olympic & Team GB athletes, helping thousands of young people grow in confidence and ambition.

Following the devastating fire at our gym, we are now facing the huge challenge of keeping our community together while rebuilding for the future.

We are asking the global gymnastics community, friends, supporters, clubs, athletes, coaches, and families to stand with us during this incredibly difficult time. Whether through a donation or simply sharing our GoFundMe, every bit of support helps us move one step closer to rebuilding Lynx.

Gymnastics has always been strongest when the community comes together — and right now, we need that support more than ever ❤️

Community Statement from Lynx Gymnastics

To our Lynx family and the wider community,

Today, we are heartbroken to share that there has been a serious fire at Lynx Gymnastics.

Most importantly, we are incredibly thankful that no one was injured or hurt. Thankfully, there were no children or customers in the building at the time of the incident.

We also want to express our sincere gratitude to our staff and the fire brigade, who acted as quickly as possible to keep everyone safe during an extremely difficult situation.

At this early stage, we still do not know the full extent of the damage, but what we do know is that the impact is devastating. The gym is more than just a building, it is a second home for hundreds of children, athletes, families, coaches, and friends who walk through our doors every single week.

For many, Lynx is where confidence is built, friendships are formed, dreams begin, and memories are made. Seeing our home affected in this way is incredibly difficult for everyone connected to the club.

With immediate effect, the gym will be closed until further notice.

Right now, our priority is the safety and wellbeing of our members, staff, and community. We will be working closely with the relevant authorities and assessing the situation over the coming days. At present, we anticipate that this will be a lengthy process before we are able to return.

We know this news will come as a huge shock to so many families. We ask for your patience while Lynx staff work through arrangements and next steps as carefully and quickly as possible. We promise to keep everyone updated as more information becomes available.

Lynx has always been built on more than gymnastics. It has been built on people, on resilience, support, hard work, and community spirit. In difficult moments, those values matter more than ever.

Lynx is also deeply proud to be a community-focused children’s organisation and registered charity, dedicated to providing opportunity, development, and a safe space for thousands of young people. Today, we are asking for the support of our wider community more than ever before.

The road may be difficult, but together we will rebuild.

Wishing all the love and luck to Ondine Achampong as she begins an exciting new chapter ✨

After two years at the University of California, Berkeley, Ondine is now transferring to the University of Stanford, where she will carry out the remainder of her scholarship while continuing her NCAA gymnastics training and rehab in world-class facilities.

We’re behind you all the way on this journey and couldn’t be prouder. Can’t wait to see you soon ❤️

A strong performance from Isla at her Regional NDP Final last weekend.👏

🥉 3rd on Vault
🥉 3rd on Floor

A few small mistakes along the way, but she capitalised brilliantly on Vault and Floor to secure two bronze medals. Plenty of positives to take forward, well done Isla and the team of coaches💫

Special thanks to Emily for judging and supporting the club. 🥰
