U12 Ducks 💚🦆
After a reset from last week’s game and two really good training sessions, we were keen to put the ghosts of last week behind us and put in a decent, solid performance, regardless of the result.
The boys delivered in buckets! 💪⚽️
A quick, lively start saw the boys settle in, knocking the ball around nicely and, out of possession, closing down quickly. That set the tone for the whole match.
They boys were on fire in the first half and gave exactly the start we needed! 🔥
To be fair to Cippenham, they had a spell where they put us under some pressure. The boys dug in, stayed calm, rode that spell out and were rewarded 👏
A quick chat at half-time and the boys were straight back at it.
With 13 players today, we made plenty of rotation changes, but the boys continued to play some really good attacking football.
All in all, it was a fantastic effort and a brilliant team performance. 👏🏻
⭐ Player of the Day
Our parents/supporters’ Player of the Day was a great choice.
This boy never put a foot wrong all game. He stayed so calm and composed under pressure and played the simple ball every time.
Well done, Robin! 👏🏻👏🏻
🏆 Coaches’ Player
There were so many good performances out there today.
A quick mention for Isaac again, who was absolutely everywhere, and Jaxon, who played centre-mid for the first time and was fantastic.
Today, though, it was all about our two full-backs. Both were solid in defence, calm on the ball and, when needed, cleared the lines perfectly.
So well done to Joe and Robin! 🙌👏🏻
Once again, a massive thank you to all the parents and sponsors for your continued commitment and fantastic support, as always, and for making the long journey today. It really is appreciated. ❤️
