Some great feedback received from one of our visiting teams over the weekend Newport Pagnell Town Football Club
Great to have you with us and that you enjoyed your time attending 👏👏👏

Hi Rosie,

On behalf of myself, our players, and parents, I would like to extend our sincere thanks for hosting such a fantastic tournament over the weekend.

The event was extremely well organised from start to finish, with excellent communication, a great schedule, and a welcoming atmosphere throughout. It was clear that a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication went into making the tournament such a success, and that effort was appreciated by everyone involved.

Our players thoroughly enjoyed the experience, competing against quality opposition in a positive and enjoyable environment. Events like these provide invaluable opportunities for young players to develop, learn, and create lasting memories.

Please pass on our thanks to all the volunteers, officials, sponsors, and everyone who contributed behind the scenes. Their efforts helped create a memorable weekend for all the teams involved.

Thank you once again for your hospitality and for delivering such a well-run tournament. We look forward to attending future events.

Kind regards,
Steve

A report from Steve from our u11s.
Our home tournament was a fantastic weekend! Before I discuss today’s games, I want to express my deepest gratitude to all the parents who volunteered over the past two days. Your dedication made this tournament the best in miles around and without you, it wouldn’t have been possible.

As coaches, we couldn’t be prouder of our boys today. After months of carefully selecting squads for all the tournaments, it felt right to ensure that all the boys played in their home tournament. It was wonderful to welcome Harvey, Divine and Jamie into the ducks whites today.

We were confident both teams would give it their all and they certainly didn’t disappoint.

Unfortunately, due to personal commitments, the whites didn’t have a permanent keeper. However, Harvey Robin Devine and Jamie stepped up to wear the gloves and we couldn’t thank them enough for their willingness to help out.

Despite this setback, we had enough quality to give it a real go today. Unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalise on our good moments in the games and ultimately, it cost us in this football tournament format. The boys gave it their all but it all came down to a few crucial decision-making moments that they’ll learn from moving forward.

The emeralds side, with a few minor changes from recent weeks, were determined to put their last disappointment behind them. They started strongly in the group and maintained their unbeaten record securing a semi-final spot against Stoke Mandeville Stags. The game was evenly matched and went to penalties. With three well-taken penalties we advanced to the final.

We battled another strong side and put our bodies on the line to secure a narrow 1-0 victory. It was a true team effort and we only conceded one goal throughout the whole competition! 👏👏👏

Above all, it was a lovely day with all the families and we hope everyone enjoyed it. As always, the amazing support for the boys was unwavering.
