❤️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF ABBIE LAINTON ❤️

We wanted to share something incredibly sad with our ACA family.

On 30th July, 16-year-old Abbie Lainton tragically lost her life following an accident whilst on holiday in the Dominican Republic.

Abbie was a much-loved member of the cheerleading community and a coach at Swindon Lightning.

At just 16 years old, Abbie had her whole life ahead of her. She was clearly an incredibly special young lady who meant so much to her family, friends, athletes and everyone within the Swindon Lightning programme. 💔

A fundraising page has been set up to support Abbie’s family through what is an unimaginable time, and we wanted to share it with our ACA community for anyone who may wish to donate.

Our thoughts and love are with Abbie’s family, friends, everyone at Swindon Lightning and, and all those who had the privilege of knowing and coaching alongside her.

After a fantastic response to our first two SEN Summer Stay & Play sessions, we’re delighted to say…

WE’RE BACK FOR TWO MORE! 🎉

Our SEN Stay & Play sessions have been really popular over the past two Fridays, and we’ve loved seeing so many children enjoying the gym in their own way and at their own pace.

So, we’ve added two more dates!

Our SEN Stay & Play sessions offer a calmer environment with:

💡 Reduced lighting
🔇 No background music
👨‍👩‍👧 Reduced numbers
💙 Understanding staff
🌈 Freedom to play and explore at their own pace

Plus loads to explore including soft play, trampolines, our bouncy castle track and gymnastics equipment.

👧 Ages 0 to 15
👫 SEN children and siblings welcome
💷 £5 per child
👨‍👩‍👧 Parents and carers FREE

No booking needed. Just turn up and pay by cash or card on arrival.

🌟 NEW SEN SUMMER STAY & PLAY SESSIONS! 🌟

We’re really excited to be introducing two dedicated SEN Stay & Play sessions at ACA this summer! 💙

These sessions have been designed to give SEN children the opportunity to play, explore and be themselves, in a calmer and more relaxed environment.

Children will have access to our:

🤸 Gymnastics equipment
🏰 Bouncy castle track
🤸‍♀️ Trampolines
🧸 Soft play
⭐ Plenty of space for free play

We’ll also be making some adjustments to help create a more comfortable environment:

Siblings are very welcome too!

Back then, our tryout poster was simple… a couple of dates, an email address, and a dream.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve become so much more than we ever imagined.

⭐️ Hundreds of athletes.
⭐️ National, European and World Champions.
⭐️ Teams competing across the UK and around the globe.
⭐️ A community that feels like family.

Every season has brought new memories, new friendships and new milestones. Looking back at where we started makes us incredibly proud of how far ACA has come.

Season 13 Tryouts are now complete. 🥰

Now begins one of the hardest parts of the season… the deliberations. Our coaching team will be carefully reviewing every athlete to create the strongest teams possible for the year ahead.

Thank you to every athlete who stepped onto the floor this week. Whether this is your first season… your fifth… or your twelfth… we’re so proud of the courage, effort and passion you’ve shown.
