Charlie received some fantastic feedback following his latest review and will continue his journey within the Saints Academy programme through to the next review window.

Great to see two former Advantage players back on the pitch tonight, representing Gresham’s! 🏉

Arthur Dewson – Class of 2025 and Harry Macklin – Class of 2026 both went on to achieve scholarships at Gresham’s for college rugby, and it was fantastic to see them playing against the Academy tonight.

And from the sidelines, Saints Academy player Charlie Snelling – Class of 2025 was there cheering the boys on! 👏

These moments are exactly what the Academy is about — creating opportunities, developing players and helping them progress beyond Advantage. 🖤🏉

🏉 A NEW MILESTONE FOR THE ACADEMY! 🏉

As we enter our 4th season, we’ve reached another huge milestone — our first-ever U18 side! 🙌

One of the things we’re most proud of is giving our former Academy players the opportunity to come back together, represent Advantage and continue playing rugby beyond their school years.

Tonight, our inaugural U18 side took to the field for the very first time, playing against Gresham’s in a pre-season fixture as they prepare for their National Cup campaign.

The Academy continues to grow — and this is another exciting chapter.

Following the success of our Norfolk Academy, we’re excited to begin piloting Advantage Suffolk for the 2026/27 season, creating further opportunities for state school rugby players across Suffolk to access quality coaching, fixtures and development experiences.

Our long-term aim is to bring the Norfolk and Suffolk Academies together for a border match at Diss Rugby Club. 👀🏉

This week we have our Block fixture against Gresham’s! 🏉

Sadly, our U15 and U14 fixtures have been postponed due to the hard ground. However, the 1st XV pitch is looking nice and green and ready to host our first U18 fixture!

If you were planning on attending the other games, why not still head down to Gresham’s and support both teams in what promises to be an entertaining evening of rugby.

Today we're shining the spotlight on one of our exciting new partnerships as we welcome Advantage Rugby Academy to the Red & Black family.

A huge thank you to Dean Keats and the team at Advantage Rugby Academy – we're really looking forward to working together and creating even more opportunities for young rugby players across Norfolk. 🏉

Advantage Rugby Academy provides additional rugby development opportunities for young players, with a particular focus on supporting state school pupils through high-quality coaching, additional training and competitive fixtures.

With a number of our own Wymondham youth players already involved with the Academy, this partnership is a natural fit and gives us another opportunity to support the development of the next generation both on and off the pitch.

🗣️ Will Cotterill, Director of Rugby at Wymondham RFC, said:
