What a week of wind, rain, sunshine and Red Arrows!

This week we had the 5 clubs and a putter competition where we had 13 entrants. It was tight at the top, where three players carded the same score. However, on countback Gail won with 34 points, followed closely by Fay and Debbie.

Our Club Championship Final, between Catherine and Debbie, will be played on Monday 14th September, 13:30 Tee time. Crossing my fingers the weather will be kind to us! If you're free please come along to show your support.

Catherine and Helen had their 7th round Daily Mail Foursomes tie today against some great ladies at Largs Golf Club. The weather and the course were amazing, and the golf was pretty good too, played in the best spirit of the game. The ladies from Largs however knew those greens and had an amazing short game which meant they finally took the win (3/2) and will progress into the next (8th) round of this National competition. Thanks to both for representing the Club! And watch out for our up and coming Daily Mail Qualifier for 2027!

The Wilson Cup Final was played over the weekend between Catherine and June. After what sounds like a great match, June was victorious. Well done both for getting to the Final and Congratulations to June on the win!.

Following the Royal Dalmilling Open on Monday 17th, an annual event so watch out for it next year!, our very own Fay and Sylvia won the Scratch competition! Congratulations to them both and also Kerry and her partner who won the Handicap competition. 👏 👏

We played Division 2 Championship Final today. And after an amazing match, Morag McNulty was victorious!!! Congratulations to Morag on the win. Thanks to everyone who supported, including our caddies and referee. Watch this space for the Club Championship results.

Well done to the Greenlees team who managed to rangle 3.5 points from the team at Milngavie. What a great course in amazing condition.

Awesome to see their old telephone both converted to celebrate the success of Lorna McClymont, who played at the club.

Lorna was the Scottish Women’s Amateur Champion in 2024, multiple-time Scottish Order of Merit winner and a member of the victorious GB&I Curtis Cup team in 2024, Lorna has represented Scotland and GB&I at the highest levels. After graduating from the University of Stirling, she earned her Ladies European Tour card and is now taking on the professional game. A brilliant achievement and one to be proud of! 🇸🇨🏌️‍♀️👏

Today was our 90th Birthday Trophy, not long till our Centenary!!

A winning nett score of 69 wins, a great score with three club members shooting under nett par golf this week, well-done!
