The Angling Village attends Chatsworth country fair each year to showcase angling to the general public, with have a go activities, demonstrations by Pro anglers, trade stands and much more. We are well underway with the build and will be back onsite tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a dry day as we turn more of our attention to marking out and building the casting pool. Not long now folks!!

And just like that, it's over for another year. We'd like to extend a huge thankyou to everyone that visited us over the weekend and helped to make it our best show to date. Thanks also to our amazing traders and exhibitors, demonstrators, fly tyers, Sue and Gill for keeping everyone fed, and of course all of the coaches and volunteers that helped keep the casting pool running smoothly, you all make the show what it is and it makes all the planning and hard work worthwhile.
We will see you all again on the 4th - 6th September 2026!

Day 3 is well underway now and we have a packed line up again today with casting demonstrations and have a go opportunities on our casting pool as well as live cookery demonstrations with the chefs from the Drowned Villages Smokery.

Day 2 is now underway, and the Angling Village is once again proving to be a very popular area of Chatsworth Country Fair with huge numbers of people visiting us on Day 1. If you are visiting us today, don't miss out on having a go at learning to cast a lure on the casting pool with the team from Wychwood Agitator or learn to cast a fly line with the Orvis team down by the river. Register for free at the yellow Access Angling tent and take advantage of some free tuition from some fantastic expert anglers, there is even the chance to win some fantastic Yeti and Patagonia prizes too, very kindly provided by Mallon & Green, Access Angling and Fjuka Fishing Bait

The build continues again today after a busy day on site yesterday. We certainly hadn't missed the job of dragging the pond liner around to mark out the positioning of the casting pool!! 🤣 Overall though, the Angling Village is taking shape nicely and the whole showground is looking great.
