Two huge games today as both our seniors and under 18s are in league action!

The Senior team welcome Waveney Swifts to the Joey Dunlop as they look to continue their fantastic start to the season by making it 7 wins from 7 games. Wary of the threat that Waveney possess, they are coming off the back of a great win last weekend and will be full of confidence.

Kick off at the Joey Dunlop Centre is at 10.15am!

Then in the afternoon, our newly formed under 18 side begin their HGYFL campaign as they take on Limavady United. This will no doubt be a formidable test for the lads, especially in their first competitive game, but we have seen how hard the boys have worked in pre-season, and know they will give their all to make a positive start to the league!

Kick off at Rugby Avenue is at 1pm!

Our 2013s (u14s) held their 25/26 season player awards tonight.

The boys gave a great account of themselves last season as they continue to progress at this level.

Our award winners were:

▪︎ Player of the Year - Oisin Morton
(from day one and all season, a consistent performer at left back)

▪︎ Most Improved Player of the Year:-Dion Young (making tremendous progress as goalkeeper, superb saves throughout the season)

▪︎ Player's Player of the Year - Eoin McGinn
(a popular vote amongst his teammates for his performances as striker)

▪︎ Top Scorer - Eoin McGinn
(almost a goal a game ratio across both league and cup)

▪︎ Most Dedicated Player of the Yea -: Eoin Boyle (100% attendance at training and matches across the season)

We are delighted to present our new shirt for the upcoming season for our newly formed under 18s team.

Front and centre, with the message clear. The promotion of Tamhi Tackling Awareness of Mental Health Issues is one that we feel is of vital importance, especially for the young lads that will be donning the black and white stripes this year.

Promoting Positive Mental Health is something that Ballycastle United feel very strongly about, and our partnership with TAMHI over the past number of years has grown, so naturally we are delighted to showcase the fantastic work they have done, and continue to do on a daily basis.

The message is clear, Mental Health Matters. And so do you!

𝗘𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗡 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡𝗘𝗬 𝗥𝗜𝗣

Ballycastle United are saddened to learn of the passing of former player Eamon Downey.

Eamon was a popular character in the Ballycastle side of the late 80s and early 90s, as a brilliant left winger.

Everyone at Ballycastle United would like offer their sincere condolences Eamon’s family and friends. He will be sorely missed.

Picture below from Joe Brogan of the side Eamon played in winning a play off against Coagh in the late 1980s. Sadly a few great men in this picture are no longer with us.
