Happy New Year to everyone. Let’s hope 2021 is better for all of us.

Hi all, workshop has been really busy over the last few weeks, but getting components can be a lot slower than normal due to the current situation. Based on the number of enquiries received of late, please note I do not buy or sell bikes nor do I stock wheelsets, bars, stems, tyres, etc. although I can order such components in subject to stock availability. In the meantime, stay safe and keep enjoying the good weather.

Just letting anyone who is interested know I am still servicing and repairing bikes subject to proper distancing at drop off and collection, though it is taking ages to get parts sometimes.

To all those who continue to entrust me to service and repair their bikes, have a happy and prosperous 2020.

Thought this might make a useful post. Regular cleaning not only keeps a bike looking good for longer, but helps detect problems. In this case, the "dirty marks" are actually a major crack half way round an mtb top tube. Scary if it had completely failed on a downhill section.

Just back from long weekend in West Galway. About to set off on Derroura MTB trail in the sun! Nice trail, but too short and not worth a round trip of over 600 miles!

Hi All, just letting everyone know I'm taking next week off, so the workshop will be closed and will reopen on Monday 18th July.

Trued and tensioned ready for action. Would have simpler & probably cheaper to have bought a complete new wheel, but not made easy in this case the Specialized hub uses a non standard threaded axle diameter! Don't you just love manufacturers who make up their own bloody standards.

Wheel now laced ready for truing & tensioning. For us auld boys still riding 26" wheels, the choices of rims, tyres, etc is starting to shrink.
