Fight prep well under way 🫡

11/07/2026

5 years ago today, we laid the mats in our first premises!

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported the club up to now, and to those who continue to turn up, week in and week out!

We’ve had highs, and lows, big wins, and plenty of bumps in the road along the way… BUT, I do feel the club is in a great place right now!

We have a solid, skilled, and supportive membership. We have people who are experienced enough, to step up and help the new members to grow. We have some incredibly talented youngsters in the team, ensuring the future of mma in ballymoney.

We remain a NOT FOR PROFIT club, prioritising the importance of sporting opportunities , over the numbers in my bank account.

A massive thank you, to every single person who has helped to take the club to where it is now. The future is bright ⭐️

Last night wasn’t our night… with both of our young fighters losing their low leg kick boxing debuts, via decision.

Both of the lads fought their hearts out, against strong and technical opponents. Sometimes things just don’t go your way!

No doubt both will come back stronger, and hungry to improve. As a club, we could not be prouder of their efforts, and of the way they constantly push each other to the absolute limit.

You win or you learn. On to the next….

Back on the mats, tomorrow from 6pm 👊🏻

gets it done, mid way through the first round, with a TKO victory coming by way of a barrage of punches.

Maja followed the game plan from the very first bell, starting quickly and landing to the body an head. For anyone who trains with her, you’ll know how heavy her hands are.

After starting at our team around 2 years ago, with absolutely ZERO training experience, she now has victories across 3 disciplines. Proving how versatile, and well rounded she is becoming as a martial artist.

The effort she puts in during training, should be an inspiration to other young women. Even though this match was won with the hands, she is more than capable in all aspects of mma.

To any women out there, who have an interest in starting mma… what are you waiting for?

Back on the mats, tonight from 7 🤙🏻

A big step forward in the development of our team last night, as we headed over to Limavady to train with the crew at

We had our first BJJ blue belt promotion, from one of our members, who started with us, having no previous martial arts experience. There’s no one more deserving than Callum, for the effort he puts into the club, and the support he offers a new members.

We also had Pauric, a junior member step up from white, to grey, proving that the club continues to move in the right direction, and the future is in safe hands.

Maja also received the 4th stripe on her white belt, and is really starting to develop into an all round martial artist. I also received the first stripe on my blue belt. Which I am extremely grateful for.

As always, a massive thanks to for having us, and developing our members, including myself. His knowledge and experience is always greatly appreciated.

Roll on 2026… a team on the up ⬆️

We finished off our competition for the year, at .combat last night in Belfast, heading back up north, with 1 win and 1 defeat.

mclean was up first, winning via TKO early in round 2, after a superb striking display.

keano was taken down early in his bout, losing via submission, to a very strong opponent.

Both lads took their matches on 3 weeks notice, and gave 100% to their training. Both will learn and improve over the coming months, and be back stronger in 2026.

As always, a massive thank you to everyone who came to support the team. It’s greatly appreciated. Also to the corner team of and a huge thank you.

2 of our guys make their debuts, 22nd of November, in Belfast.

Both accepted their matches with zero hesitation, both at less than 3 weeks notice.

We will have tickets available soon, for you to come and support our team.

Contact either of the fighters, or shoot us a message on here, to get yours.

You’d spend the money on a PPV, to watch someone that doesn’t know you exist. Support your local talent instead.

Expect fireworks 💥

What about this for another NAFA success story!

4 months into his journey in fight sports, and Louis is barely recognisable from the guy who first walked through our doors.

20kg down, healthier, mentally stronger and coming off the back of a huge KO victory in his first competitive action.

He trains his butt off at every session. Never dodges the grind & is improving at a rapid rate. He also packs dynamite power in both hands 💥

Not all of our victories are measured in medals and belts. Some are as simple as having a positive impact in those around us.
