Today’s competition is the Wilkinson Sword — a pairs event in which both players’ scores count on every hole.

Last year’s winners were M. Braddock and S. Hodgson, who lifted the trophy with an excellent score of 76 points.

Despite its impressive appearance, we can confirm that the sword will not be used in battle today — or to settle any countback disputes.

Entries are now open for our Summer Pairs Open, taking place on Friday 16th July 2027.

Open to Men’s, Ladies’ and Mixed pairs in any combination, making it the perfect summer day out at Sickleholme.

£70 per pair | £35 per person

Better Ball Stableford – 85% handicap allowance
