PT Steve’s making a come back!

Stevie has very kindly agreed to hold a gym class to fundraise for my upcoming London marathon for Make A Wish and we would love to see you all there!

End of an era!

Thank you to each and every single person who came today and who has crossed our doors over the past 10 and a half years. It’s been one cracking journey with the best community.

I’ll pop a post up Monday about more info on the future of the gym space and where my own personal journey within the fitness industry is going!

So after 10 years Knowledge Fitness Gym is coming to an end!!

On the 4th of May we close the door for good!

It’s been a massive part of my life! To say closing was an easy choice would be a lie!
Is it upsetting yes but is it the right thing to do? 100%

It’s the right thing for me, my family and members.

This year I started working full time in a school as the coaching officer and have loved every minute of it. So much that the school I’m working in are helping me through a two year PGCE while keeping me employed! For me this is a massive opportunity and one not to be missed!

On top of this the past few years I’ve been working as a S and C coach for Down GAA and clubs within Down and Armagh! (Which truly is my calling and passion)

This has left very little time for the gym which isn’t fair on me or the members and Hannah’s stepped in taking the reins again which isn’t fair on her!

I owe the members, each and every one of you and I wish I could personally thank you all. You’ve seen me at my best, you were at my wedding and you have been a support network when I was down! You have helped shape me into the man I am today and I’m thankful for each and everyone you!

I was a 25 year old kid when I opened it (didn’t have a clue) but what I had were great people around me! To all the staff thank you! To all the PTs thank you! To Gary and Matty thank you! To Mark Campbell the biggest thank you! A special mention must go to Paul Heasley! He’s been a big brother and mentor to me still to this day! Thank you to my wife and family, I wouldn’t be where I am today without you all! (Bear and Oz)

To all the teams that used me and our facility thank you! From the local teams to professional thank you all so much you paved the way and opened doors for me in the S&C world that I look forward to using now and in the future!

I can’t say it enough and I don’t really know what else to say but thank you

This isn’t the end of knowledge just the gym, I’m gonna still PT and work online but with athletes and teams only! So for me and the gym one last time

The plan was sub 1.20 so we smashed it although the next one we have to get under that 1.15 mark

Plus didn’t fall out with me once, though the size of the roxzone completely threw us it was massive!!

and .hall0 getting the pre-season work done early and looking after his recovery on his macrory cup campaign with the Abbey

What a weekend we have in store for my knowledge athletes and teams.

⚡️ Friday we have playing in the junior football final for Dromara, so happy for this man after 12/13 months of rehab and hard work.

⚡️Saturday, we have the lads in the intermediate final, delighted to have been their S&C coach this year.

⚡️ Sunday, we have the legend .5 playing in the U16 A final. Genuinely can’t praise this girl enough.

And last but not least, 2 of our Aspiring Athletes who attended our summer camp, and in the under 16 final for Burren.

Busy weekend but I’ll make sure I see every one of them playing!

1 all Ireland , but time to step away and recharge the batteries. Excited by my new caching role within St Marks school and can hopefully add to their many successful teams.

That camogie all Ireland medal is the only one missing from the collection. 👀
