Hi folks!
We are officially well into January. So it seems like the perfect time to see how Santa’s RC gifts are coming along.
Are they flying already?
Half built?
Or are they the same projects that magically reappear every New Year and somehow never get finished? 😂
Drop a pic of your RC aircraft Christmas gifts or ongoing 2026 projects below 👇
Let’s see what’s really happening in everyone’s hangar.

Surely you can’t take off and land on a muddy field?
Not a problem for BAC 😄✈️
Another cracking Boxing Day fly in.
Beautiful weather, a great turnout with a mix of old familiar faces and new folks keen to get stuck into our little hobby. Throw in a bit of bird-watching for good measure and top it all off with the chairman’s now legendary stew… Perfect end to the festive season! Roll on 2026. 😊

✨ Banbridge Aeromodelling Club – AGM Update ✨
Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday evening for our 2025 Annual General Meeting! A brand new committee has now been elected for 2026, and we enjoyed a great night of discussion. Everything from lawnmowers to kite surfing… with some aeromodelling chat in there too! 😄✈️
A special thank-you to Harry's Bar, Banbridge for hosting us and providing a fantastic meal. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Here’s to another exciting year ahead for the club! 💙🛩️

We had our last display of the year today at Kilbroney Forest Park and while conditions weren’t ideal, they were better than the forecast or even the drive to Rostrevor would have led you to believe.
While the weather reduced the crowds, there were a few hardy souls and even some Halloween costumes on show with kids taking time out of their fundraising walk to see the flying, ask plenty of questions and see what happens when they wiggle the sticks!
The toffee bomber, as always was a highlight and a few dads seemed to be curious enough to maybe come and see us at the club.
Thanks to Sharon at Enspire and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for having us along. We look forward to doing it all again next year.

Thanks to all who attended the NI Area Funfly on Saturday despite the miserable weather forecast. While the weather didn’t stop play, it certainly made life interesting and despite conditions, many pilots were coming back smiling after each round, many having scored personal bests.
It was great to see the standard rising from the start of the year, the competitive spirit is certainly creeping in! Some people have even been rumoured to have been practicing!!

The NI Area Funfly competition has been organised for Saturday 27th September at Banbridge Aeromodelling Club.
This is a competition that anyone can enter, and you don’t have to have a funfly type model, the emphasis will be on the fun part!
Everyone welcome.
Pilots Briefing will be at 10.00am
Lunch will be provided.
