Banbridge Kayak and Canoe Club

A few of the club coaches and leaders ventured out to Oxford Island today. Great to be getting out safely again. We were even joined by a Viking boat!!Hopefully more outings to come in 2022.

2020 has been a difficult year for many of us. Hopefully we will be able to meet up and paddle again in 2021!

Please see updated recommendations on paddlesport in Northern Ireland.

There will be no club activity until further notice, however paddling for exercise is permitted for up to 6 competent, independent paddlers with their own equipment providing they can self rescue and social distancing is followed at all times. (See below link to Cani website for further details.)

British Canoeing Coronavirus update on Paddlesport Activity Following the latest measures announced by government yesterday to address the coronavirus pandemic, British Canoeing has issued the following statement.

Attention All Members: Cancellation of Pool Sessions
Banbridge Kayak & Canoe club regret to inform you that we have had to cancel our pool sessions until further notice due to renewed advice from the government, our local council and the Canoe Association of Northern Ireland (CANI) on Covid19.
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council have decided to close all their public buildings to the general public until further notice from tomorrow 18.03.20. This includes all Leisure, Sport and Recreation Centres, Community Centres, Tourism, Arts and Culture Facilities and all Town Halls.
We will continue to monitor and review the situation with regard to COVID-19 and its potential impacts, and will continue to act in accordance with any advice provided by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, CANI and the Public Health Agency (PHA).
