MEGAN
Megan brings a whole lot of passion, enthusiasm, and a massive burst of energy to the studio. (And oranges- if you know, you know)
As a qualified Personal Trainer and Pilates instructor, Megan loves helping people feel empowered and confident in their own skin. For her, movement isn't just about fitness—it’s about how good it makes you feel!
When she isnt in the studio, you'll likely find her listening to some good tunes, at a coffee shop, planning her next adventure or maybe rowing down the Lagan.
Right now, you can catch Megan bringing the heat to our hot classes, and keep your eyes peeled because she will be hitting the Reformers very soon!

SOCKS - ON OR OFF?
Alot of studios state that grip socks are "essential" or "mandatory".
This is fascinating to me! I swear before COVID we were all barefoot.
So what's the deal?
Let's take a deep dive into the pros of each.
ON 🧦
1) Hygiene - We're on our feet all day, socks help add a little cleanliness barrier to protect equipment and keep it clean.
2) Grip - That's what they're designed for! They can add a little help with balance.
3) Comfort - They're cosy, I'll admit.
4) Style - The post COVID glow up of the grip sock has given us so much choice of colours and styles to play with.
OFF 🦶
1) Proprioception - or 'sensory feedback'. Our feet are full of nerve endings that provide sensory feedback and help us connect with the surface below us, improving body awareness.
2) Grip - Poor quality or ill fitting grip socks can slip beneath our feet and hinder our grip, unlike the natural grip of our feet.
3) Comfort - Sometimes the feet just want to breathe when working out. Especially in hot classes!
4) Muscle activation- This one is linked to grip. If your sock is slipping all over the place, your body will recruit different muscles to try and keep the sock in place rather than focus on the exercise.
So really, it is up to you!
We will never turn you away for being barefoot, or make you buy socks. 🤎
Our equipment is cleaned after use and our reformer loops are wipeable and laundered regularly.
And lastly, some food for thought, we use our hands as much as our feet in class... but we don't make gloves mandatory? (Feel free to wear them though)
