Ray Reardon obituary: Former miner became six-time world champion 20/07/2024

I am not a big snooker fan but sad news! Reminds me of the old days in Elaghmore Park in the late 70s. RIP Ray Riordan!

Ray Reardon obituary: Former miner became six-time world champion Ray Reardon, who has died aged 91, dominated the sport of snooker for the best part of a decade as he won six world titles between 1970 and 1978.

Captains - President's Day this year will be on Sat 25 May at Rugby avenue Coleraine. Meeting at 2.00pm.Hopefully we will have enough for 3 matches though spectators are welcome. Afterwards there will be a buffet in Coleraine Rugby club and possibly an evening meal in Portstewart if there is a demand. The university pitches are closed from last Saturday for the whole summer - no comment necessary. If you plan to come let Michael Willis or me know and keep in touch via page UUCAFC Graduates and Friends.

Help save the lives of people like current UU student Thomas. Come along to our event this Monday 5th November at the bridge in the main building at UUC to learn more and to sign up to the stem cell register.

Signing up takes 5 mins and all it involves is a swab of saliva. If ever called to donate 9/10 the process is similar to donating blood and you could cure someone's cancer!
See link below explaining donation process.
