🏆 A GREAT DAY FOR BANBRIDGE BOWLING CLUB AT THE IRISH CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS! 🏆

Today we had two fantastic teams proudly representing Banbridge Bowling Club in the Irish Championship Finals.

A massive congratulations to our Triples team, Seamus Skelton, Kyle Blakely and Gavan Blakely who finished as 2026 Irish Triples Runners-Up, and to our U25 Pairs Skipped by Adam Cromie alongside Josh Thompson Donaghadee Bowling Club, also finished as 2026 Irish U25 Pairs Runners-Up. 👏

We are incredibly proud of how well both teams performed. To reach an Irish Final is a tremendous achievement in itself, and to lose both finals by such small margins shows just how closely fought and competitive the games were.

While the results may not have gone our way today, you can all hold your heads high after representing the club with great pride! 💛🖤❤️

The members of Banbridge Bowling Club wish to extend our sympathies on the untimely passing of Damien Bintley, to his family, friends, and clubmates at Salisbury Bowling Club. Damien was a gentleman and friend to everyone who knew him in the bowling community. May he rest in peace. 💔

In Loving Memory of Damien

Damien was much more than a clubmate, he was a true gentleman, a great friend and a deeply valued member of the Salisbury BC family.

His warm smile, generous nature and unmistakable presence will be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

He loved the game of bowls and gave an extraordinary amount of his time, knowledge and energy to the sport. His dedication, enthusiasm and willingness to help others earned him the respect and affection of the wider bowling fraternity throughout Ireland.

Damien will leave an enormous void within our club and across the bowling community. He was loved by so many, and his contribution to the game he cared so deeply about will never be forgotten.

Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences go to Damien’s wife, Vicky, his family, the wider family circle and friends at this unimaginably difficult time. You are all firmly in our thoughts and prayers. 🙏🏼

Rest in peace, Damien. Thank you for your friendship, your service and everything you gave to Salisbury Bowling Club and the game of bowls. You will be sadly missed, but always fondly remembered. 😢💙💛

NIBA SENIOR CUP CHAMPIONS 2026;

Congratulations to our 'A' Team who, last night, won the NIBA Senior Cup for the second time in three years. A tremendous achievement for all involved. Commiserations to the runners-up Whitehead, who put up a tough challenge on the night. COTB 🇧🇪🇧🇪

🏆 Banbridge Bowling Club is immensely proud to celebrate the selection of three of our junior members to represent the Northern Ireland Bowling Association (NIBA) Junior Inter-Association Team for 2026. 👏

Congratulations to everyone selected across the squad an outstanding achievement and a reward for all the hard work, dedication, and commitment shown throughout the season.

CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIERS;

As the qualifying rounds of the NIBA Championships have drawn to a close we would like to wish all our members, who have qualified to their respective Semi-Finals, the best of luck.

The NIBA Championship Semi-Finals will take place at Ward Park from Monday 27/07 to Friday 31/07 with the Finals being held on Saturday 01/08.

With the World Cup in full flow now, today in our sweepstake we see 2 very well known faces in bowls locally and further afield face off against each other as Uruguay (Clifford Dennison) take on the mighty Cape Verde (Charlie Davis)

Last night we held a sweepstake in the club for the World Cup all for a bit of fun and raise a few quid for the club. The first game sees Big Phil (Mexico) take on Pete the Heat (South Africa)⚽️
