Thank you to Joan and Tony for trying to help and then alerting us to this little cygnet who for some reason could not get out of the water yesterday.

After checking on him again this morning, it was clear this was still the case and Mum and Dad and cygnet were all showing signs of distress.

Mark used his best "hook a duck" skills whilst Teresa distracted Dad, and we did manage to get him/her safely on land.

Thank you so much to Swan Lifeline for coming to our rescue and collecting the little one. Despite no apparent damage to the leg, the cygnet was reluctant to stand, so we will wait and hope for a good outcome.

💐 Aquavista in Bloom 2026 💐

You may well have met our lovely Brenda, who does an incredible job of looking after our facilities, and to be honest, she looks after us too, as well as the dogs and ducks of the marina!

Well it turns out Brenda is also an excellent gardener and has been giving us lots of great advice and getting her green fingers stuck in to planting and maintaining our beds. Here she is admiring her handy work!

Team work makes the dream work, and together we are all creating beautiful areas around the marina as part of Aquavista in Bloom 2026!
