Tour de Trigs

As you may of heard, sadly, the Tour de Trigs has reached its final checkpoint 📍
This year's event will not be going ahead, & the hike is to be closed permanently.

It's been a difficult decision. A few reasons have meant that the event hasn't managed to get up & running since Covid with the last hike in 2019.

We'd like to thank everyone who's taken part over the 50 year history of the hike, all the volunteers that have helped, the companies that have sponsored or provided much need equipment, vehicle's, communication equipment, village halls for checkpoints, & our teams that came together each year to make the event happen.

TOUR de TRIGS 2022 CANCELLED: At an emergency meeting of the Tour de Trigs Committee, 11 November 2022, it became clear that unfortunately two key components of the Tour Organisation did not have sufficient resources to allow the Tour to be run safely. It is therefore with some regret that we are having to cancel this year’s Tour de Trigs.

We do, however, anticipate being able to run it again next year on the last weekend in November (25-26th November 2023). We do thank all those that volunteered to assist this year and sincerely hope that you and others feel that you can help in 2023.

Entries for this year were looking better than for some recent years, so things were looking positive. However, for the above reasons, we will be refunding those entrants their payments, and hope that if, as anticipated, the Tour de Trigs 2023 runs, you will enter again for this challenging event.

It takes over 200 people to run the Hike in the manner that is safe but still challenging for all concerned, and we are looking for at least 50 new volunteers who would be willing to help. Particularly for check point teams, mini buses and drivers any who have skills and would wish to be involved with the organising committee. We would be pleased to know names and contact details as soon as possible.

Once again, thank you all, and may we wish you well for the New Year and hope to see many of you in 2023.

Covering up to 50 Miles across some of the toughest terrain & conditions the Cotswolds & Oxfordshire Countrside has to offer, manned & unmanned checkpoints along the way, with 3 support & first aid teams should you need them, you are guaranteed a safe, but very challenging 24 hours.

We are back for 2022!

This year we have some VERY important changes!
A lot of you have taken part in the TdT for many years, these changes will affect you the most!

•The date is now to be the last weekend in November, this year will be the 26th & 27th November 2022.

•The location of TdT HQ will now be at Sibford School, on the Cotswolds/North Oxfordshire border.

•We have a new category for Families to take part in with up to 5 team members, with 2 adults over 18, to take part in the 15 mile hike.

•We will be issuing all the junior & family teams with a team tracker, as well as our support teams out on the route, we have your safety at our paramount.
