Badminton facts #2

It has a long history…
The origins of badminton probably lie in shuttlecock games played more than 2,000 years ago in Greece, China and India, but the British game was born in Gloucestershire in 1873, at Badminton, the country estate of the Duke of Beaufort. The first official badminton club was established in 1877 in Bath.

Great turn out on Thursday. Thank you to those who came down to see what we are all about. We hope you had fun. 🏸

Competition doesn’t stop on the badminton court. Our social secretary organised bowling for our Christmas do. 🎳

We took it very seriously as you can imagine! 😅
