Lifestyle level up !!
A couple of years ago Chris came to me when he decided it was time to do something for himself, to improve his health, fitness and confidence…
Everything was new and the unknown to him… never been in a gym , never trained , never really prioritised eating well and nutritiously , never made himself or his health/fitness a priority…
Now , he’s a completely different person physically and mentally….
🎯The gym is just part of the norm and weekly routine.
🎯confidence soared enough to do a photoshoot,
🎯strength up in the gym , lifting more than he ever imagined
🎯fitness improved and started running
🎯completed 2 wolf runs
🎯And most recent taken on a HYROX with me .
What a pleasure to compete alongside him, working as a team to cross that finish line together .
Turning 50 next year and Chris is a prime example that’s it’s never too late to start on this journey , to improve your health and become the fitness, strongest version of yourself . 💪💪💪
What could you do in 2 years, ?
Proud doesn’t even cut it… 🫶
Back at the beginning of the summer this lady didn’t run AT ALL ! Fast forward to last weekend and she completed her 1st hyrox.
We set the challenge , I wrote the plan and she executed it to the letter. 👌🏻
Week in week out she put in the hard graft, ticking every run , every training session and giving 100 % .
Even with endless trips away over the last few months she still put the training in, even finding a running track and a gym in the middle of Costa Rica !!!
We’ve been through every emotion,😅excitement , nerves , doubted herself and questioned whether she could do it multiple times, but , I was never in any doubt she would do anything other than smash it.
For me this represents everything I want for my clients, it’s not about the competing , but that training is so much more than burning calories, to try and lose weight .
Instead it’s showing up for themselves, to be strong ,fit, and prove that their bodies ( and minds ) are capable of hard things. Something that will naturally spill over into all aspects of life.
Cheering Lorena and daughter Zara on , watching them complete it with smiles on their faces the whole way round , was an absolute pleasure.😍

Completed it….
Hyrox was booked back in the summer to do something fun , alongside clients and join in the challenge …. Not knowing I would be out of action for so long, with left hand and shoulder after surgery 🙈🥴
so with only 5 weeks left to start training ,it went from not even being able to lift a kettle to building up to being able to push/pull /hold some of the race day weights for the 1st time only the week before, 🥴(plus hampered by a Achilles injury again ), there were times I truly doubted if I’d be doing /completing it at all and definitely questioned my sanity and life choices 😅
But I did it, and had the pleasure of having one of my amazing clients alongside me.
( a separate post coming on those guys 🙌)
What a fab challenge, can see what all the hype is about .Doing the men’s weights is no joke 🥵but I loved every second 🦋
Cannot wait to do next one now plus a few more events next year when fighting fit and at full potential again 👌🏻😌

Oh my word, I can’t cope 😮💨😮💨..
This was Lisa’s 3rd shoot with me… and I can safely say she well and truly left her comfort zone and brought her most confident self yet!! 🫶
We set plans in place to help her get some consistency and structure back to her life after a tough year personally.
This wasn’t about just dropping a few KG, instead it was to regain healthy habits, to nourish and fuel her body , not starve it.
To use exercise to get stronger, fitter and improve mental health, not just shrink her body.
And what better way then to have a shoot at the end of it to show off her hard work… 📸
The Lisa that turned up on shoot day, was bursting with confidence, sassy , sexy and one I am beyond proud of. 😍
12 weeks of consistency, ticking boxes week in week out and she felt the benefits physically and mentally ….realising again how, good wholesome food and training makes her feel. Habits that are firmly rooted back into her lifestyle🫶

✨CLIENT SPOTLIGHT ✨
This women never ceases to amaze me… .dominguez has just completed 207 kilometre Hike on the Comino Frances trek to Santiago over 8 days along with daughter 👏👏👏
She is the epitome of what my coaching is all about. Helping people live life to the fullest 👌🏻Keeping healthy ,active and conquering things they never thought possible💪
Over the last few years of working together, she has travelled the world on so many adventures (biking, climbing, caving, kayaking . Trekked mountains( including the Alps and 4200m up Machu Picchu 🤯. ( along with her husband Roy , who is also a client😜)
She’s Grown in strength ,fitness and confidence and got in here best shape ever for 2 photoshoots …..
Her next challenge, I’ve talked her into completing a HYROX with me 😂💪
She is certainly proving that life doesn’t have to be downhill after 50 !! 😍

“I’m tracking ALL my food, but I’ve still not losing weight/fat“
I hear this from people all the time, and the simple answer ....you might not be tracking EVERYTHING.
(Or you might be.tracking everything but still not in a deficit if not as active as you estimated/need to be)
You might be logging most of your meals.
But what about the mindless snacking as you pass the biscuit tin, the oils you cook with, the drinks- that costa coffee ( even a skinny latte can be 70kcals ,let along a caramel full fat latte)
The finishing off the kids dinner , ...
guestimating your portion size, or simply not tracking the alcohol or takeaway in the hope that if you don’t track it, it didn’t happen. 🙃
All those little extras add up, and before you know it, you can be 2-500kcal or more over your daily target. By end of the week you are 2000 kcal over target and no longer in deficit ( if that’s your goal)
Complete honesty and transparency with me is something that I always insist from my clients ,to track the alcohol, the treats, the snacks etc, because when they track it, we can mange it , not to mention teaching them that they can have the odd chocolate bar, a meal out, or that glass of wine AND still get results.
We don’t want an all or nothing approach.
So if you are tracking your calories /macros and not getting results , try really tracking EVERYTHING for a week and see the difference.
Also , don’t just focus on the scale weight …your body composition can change without the scales moving, scales will fluctuate day to day with water levels/glycogen stores etc and can for some have a negative effect if that all you focus on. Take photos, take measurements, go by how your clothes fit, for a real indication if your are losing body fat..

Client spotlight
Richard came to me at the beginning of the year with the goal of joining his wife , who was already a client , on a photoshoot.. After already making some changes to his lifestyle (after years of making excuses too old, too busy etc etc ) he wanted the accountability and structure to push himself to the next level.. 💪
we worked on all areas, pushing his training, increasing his fitness levels and dialled in on his nutrition, focusing on not just cutting but eating well and nutritiously , something that he’d admit hadn’t always been a priority in the past.
As always when I help clients with making lifestyle changes it’s not just about the ascetics . But the physical and mindset changes they feel too…
Richard worked so hard towards this, he pushed himself out of his comfort zone ( which is exactly what he wanted ,to prove to himself what he could really achieve when puts his mind to it) he navigated fitting things in around family and busy work schedule which wasn’t always easy but we set plans to help him work around this, and he has reaped the rewards 💪💪
In his words, he feels the best he ever has…. It’s a lifestyle he’s become to love and will continue for life.
