Perhaps that is why people still leave the countryside feeling calmer than when they arrived.

Perhaps it is because life becomes simpler for a few days.

Morning coffee outside.
Fresh air instead of traffic.
Watching sunsets instead of screens.
Cooking slowly.
Walking more.
Sleeping deeply.

People often arrive at Crofts Barn exhausted without fully realising how much they needed to pause.

Then after two or three days, you can almost see the change happen.

Shoulders relax.
Phones get checked less.
People sit still for longer.

It is never really just about the caravan.
It is about how differently life feels when you finally slow down.

"There is something wonderfully honest about caravanning life.

No matter how organized people are at home, everyone eventually ends up:

searching for adapters
discussing weather apps
debating BBQ timing
or pretending reversing went exactly to plan.

And honestly… that is part of the charm.

Life becomes simpler, slower, and strangely fun again.

Which one is painfully accurate?"

"People often say they “just want to get away from everything.”

But what they usually mean is:
they want silence.
Space.
Fresh air.
Dark skies.
Birdsong.
A slower pace.
And a few days where nobody expects anything from them.

That is what peaceful countryside camping gives you.

Not entertainment.
Not noise.
Not pressure to constantly do something.

Just room to breathe again.

One of the things guests often tell us after arriving at Crofts Barn is how long it takes them to properly switch off.

At first, people still reach for phones, think about work, or feel restless doing “nothing.”

Then slowly the countryside works its quiet magic.

Longer evenings.
Fresh air.
Birdsong.
Sunsets.
Slower mornings.

And suddenly life feels calmer again.

Sometimes we do not realize how overstimulated we’ve become until we finally stop.

The Runway is opening very soon !

It’s been a real pleasure welcoming you to our little corner of the Cotswolds, sharing sunsets, starry skies, countryside walks and the peaceful rural setting that makes this place so special. Your support, kind words and friendly faces mean more to us than you know.

We’re already looking forward to 2026 and can’t wait to welcome familiar faces back – and of course meet some new ones too. Until then, thank you for being part of the Crofts Barn story. 🌿✨

“At Crofts Barn, we take pride in providing clean and well-maintained facilities for all our guests. We understand that access to toilets and showers is an important part of a comfortable camping experience.

Industry guidelines for campsites recommend around 1 toilet per 10 pitches and 1 shower per 15 pitches. For our 20-pitch site, this would mean a minimum of 2 toilets and 2 showers.

We currently provide 4 toilets and 3 showers, which is well above the recommended standard. This ensures our guests have convenient access to facilities, even at full occupancy.

We continue to monitor feedback and maintain our facilities to a high standard, so that your stay is as enjoyable as possible.”
