Thank you so much to everyone who has supported the business over the years and especially this year, which has been busy and hectic with late nights and early morning starts to get everything done on time…or as close to as possible. Working on my own for the majority of the time since April had started to take its toll so it’s time to regroup and refresh with a family holiday, but we will be back open as soon as the kids are dropped off for their first day back to school.

Incidentally, anyone planning a big trip who wants a humongous yet sturdy suitcase that has around 130litre capacity and weighs around 6kg’s on its own… I cannot recommend these Ogio Dozer’s highly enough. We had to raise our weight limit just so we could bring more stuff 🤦🏼‍♂️. We can supply these as well as a lot of other motocross products from Ogio including backpacks and loads of other kit bags.

I don’t ever remember homework being quite so satisfying when I was at school…obviously needed a test ride after building too. Thoroughly recommend The Horse and Groom, Caulcott by the way!

This was not the post I wanted to be posting unfortunately. I took this photo to showcase the contrasting types of bikes that we work on but this morning (the morning after picking up her bike) a dear customer of ours had her bike stolen from outside her house in Banbury! 😡

This is a very distinctive bike and we have some specific numbers that were printed onto it so can easily identify it if it is found. If you see anyone riding this bike around Banbury please let the police or us know asap and we will try to retrieve it for our customer. It now has brand new black tyres after the service as well.

This week’s homework…wheel rebuild after thermal shock ruined a customer’s original Zipp hub when he went to ride it after the winter and it being stored in an inefficiently insulated shed.

He’ll soon be back on the road and even faster with this super lightweight DT Swiss 180 hub at the centre of his Zipp carbon rim. Built with custom length straight pull aero spokes and oval rim washers. This was such a nice wheel to build on a Sunday afternoon.

Note the cup of tea rather than a beer for this one as it required maximum concentration 😁

Another Merida Silex 400 being collected today. Such a lovely gravel bike for the money and superb build quality and spec. 700x45’s fitted as standard to cope with our quality roads 🥴

Well this was an interesting job. Comes 80% built they said….perhaps ‘they’ were including the welding and painting and the cutting of the wooden panels in their estimates…

Either way, a very satisfying project both for me to do on a sunny weekend in the garden, and also for the customer to ride away on when I brought it back to the shop.
