We’ve had a brilliant day at CattleSkate Academy, delivering 10 free coaching slots across three sessions . Two Skate Starters groups and one Herd Hustlers session!

🛹 Skate Starters x2
Our beginner groups worked on the foundations of skateboarding, including:
• Getting on and off the board safely
• Pushing around safely and confidently
• Ghost flips 👻

🔥 Herd Hustlers
Our intermediate group took things up a level, working on nosestalls and tailstalls, before taking those tricks around the park and putting them to the test on the obstacles.

Skate Starters is our beginner-friendly session, perfect for anyone looking to get started with skateboarding or build up their confidence on the board. Our qualified coaches will guide skaters through the basics in a fun, relaxed and supportive environment.

We provide all the equipment you need, so there’s no need to worry if you’re new to skateboarding!

4 of those places were delivered through our work with Second Chance, alongside 2 places through our Herd Hands finger skateboarding workshop.

Just over a year ago, they brought a second-hand shop and workshop to Banff, where people can learn new skills, make handmade goods and sell their creations through the shop. They are a very hard-working team and always bring good vibes to their shop. We absolutely love what Second Chance are doing, and we're especially big fans of their Pokémon cards!

🛹 GNARBROATH 2026 — ROUND UP! 🛹

What a result for one of our Herd Hustlers! 🐄🔥

A huge congratulations to Blair, who took 1st place in the Under 16s category! 🏆

From hard falls to hard-earned learns, Blair always brings a positive attitude to every session. He’s a genuinely cool skater, works hard, and it’s been awesome watching his confidence and skating progress.

We’re super stoked to see all that hard work paying off! 🤘

Today CattleSkate Academy CIC received 2000 pounds from Deveron District Age Concern Small Grants.

Can't thank the charity store enough for working for the community, The Macduff shop is always open to visitors and donations. Sales allow them to fund projects like ours in the area. Please give them a visit and browse some bargains.

The funds received are going to our park upgrade design work from and additionally some pretty high tech equipment to work on some merchandise.

Here are some snaps of yesterday's Herd Hustlers Session. 🛹 The crew looked at Fakie Pivots to Rocks and advanced them further, enjoying the sunshine and shredding vibes. Always stoked to hear about the awesome skate journeys a couple of them have been on, as well as their next goals in skating.

Note: the dog did not participate in the lesson due to not having the suited footwear for skating

Today at Banff Skatepark, we delivered 13 free skateboard coaching slots, welcoming 8 newcomers to CattleSkate Academy through our beginner class, Skate Starters! 🛹🐮

We’re currently running our newcomers-only Skate Starters scheme, helping us gain a better understanding of skateboarding and participation in our local area while giving those new to CattleSkate a chance to get involved.

Today's session covered:
🛹 Jumping on and off the board
🛹 Hippie jumps
🛹 Learning Positions 1 & 2
🛹 Free skating and following our chalk lines!

A brilliant session and great to see so many new faces getting involved.
