Game Day 🟢🟡

BURUFC’s 2nd XV have their first match of the season THIS WEDNESDAY! The match kicks off at 19:00 at Bethesda RFC. The 2nd XV are playing the Bethesda 2XV, a team that our first team were pitted against in their 2021-2022 season. Starting off this season the 2nd XV are looking strong. We had a good intake of freshers this year and a few familiar faces are returning. This year’s captain Dan Gittins had this to say: “The boys are really looking forward to the first game of the season for the 2s. It's a great opportunity to bring some new lads through in what should be a close match, and see where we're at for when BUCS start.”

The first team announcement of the year. The 2nd XV’s Head Coach: Ollie Coles has picked a strong looking side. A mix of old lads and some freshers. Ollie Coles said this when asked about his hopes for the game: “Really excited for the lads to take on Chester in the North Wales Derby this Friday ahead of an exciting season in Division 4A. I’ve been impressed by the intensity and quality the boys have trained at since returning and the freshers coming in have contributed to that nicely. This game will be a chance for old and new faces alike to stake a claim for a starting shirt for the league.”

Congratulations to all A Level students who have received their results today. BURUFC Wishes you all the best and hope that you have got the grades required for your university of choice (Especially if it is Bangor University). We hope to see you on the 20th of September at serendipity. We also hope to see you at our taster session on the 4G at Treboth Playing fields from 18:00-20:00.

🟢🟡Save the dates! Our First Team BUCS Match days have been released. Some may be subject to change, more information will be announced closer to the time if this is the case. We are really excited for our challenging coming season. Starting out in tier 3 in the 2021/22 season. Moving into tier 2 in the past 2023/22 season. Finally making our way to tier 1 this coming season. Be there at Treboth to follow the story as it unfolds over the 2023/24 season.
